Sorry you are both having this issue! Can you both check that your entitlements are in sync? To find your Entitlements, go to the Marketplace tab of your profile. There, you will see your Entitlements. If they are out of sync, you will see a message indicating that, and a button you can press to re-sync them.
Are you seeing the drop down for Optional Class Features at all? Or is the problem that you have the drop down but nothing is available to choose? You do need to have access to Tasha's Cauldron of Everything in order to have those options available.
I'm getting the message that there are no optional class features available for my characters at their current level. It worked fine for me a couple of days ago but hasn't worked at all for the last two days.
My entitlements are up to date, i had preordered tashas, I can see the choice of options in the builder and have them enabled, they just arent showing up on the character sheet, and even if i export to pdf it does not appear.
Please include a link to the character you are having issues with, and details about the specific class options that are no longer appearing. There are some issues that are known about and being worked on, and others that we will need to investigate further. Thank for your patience!
I had this problem too. After buying Tasha's Cauldron, I had to edit my character. On the Home tab, of the character edit, select the 'allow optional class features' option. Then on the class tab, there's a optional features drop down menu. Open it and select the optional features you want.
I am having this same issue, I looked at my entitlements and they are in sync. Could the issue be that I have Tasha's Cauldron shared with me rather than actually having it purchased? Or should that not cause any issues?
I'm no expert, but that's a good guess if you've double checked and edited your character to allow optional class features. It worked for me when I went in and individually purchased things. I'm not sure about the sharing thing, but at least there's a way it does work if you don't mind spending a few dollars for the slickness and automation it unlocks.
Eight months later, and this still isn't fixed? I see the optional class features on the website character sheet, but they are missing from the generated PDF.

I just checked with my own character sheet that has an optional class feature, and it shows in the pdf.
How recently had you added the optional class features to your character sheet? If it's been less than 20 minutes, the pdf could be missing up to date information.

Seems to not be working again. Made a character a few months ago with "Steady Aim" from a dip into rogue.
Made a new character today with same dip and "steady aim". Shows as ticked in character builder, but it doesn't show up on character sheet (digital or pdf)
I just made a level 5 sorcerer and I'm not seeing the level 3 metamagic optional feature on my my character profile. My entitlements are synced, and the option is toggled in my character creation settings.y other optional feature are working as well I suspect this is a bug.

It doesnt work for homebrew backgrounds.
I created a Homebrew background having an optional (variant) feature and I cant choose between those feature in any of my characteres

I check my again today, and now they are listed on the PDF. I wish the export dialog included a warning about this. Thanks for the tip!

Can’t pick a subclass option for the Profane Soul Blood Hunter.
That's a different matter from Optional Class Features. You need to toggle Critical Role Content ON (red/right) in your HOME | Preferences.
