I am playing a warlock in a campaign who worships a demon lord. The patron gifted my character an extra spell slot because because warlocks don’t get many. I couldn’t find a way to override spell slots on the character sheet. Is there an easy way to simply add another spell slot? (A way to manually override spell slots should be added)
You can't override spell slots as they're a core class feature
To clarify, you can create a custom action that resets on a Long Rest that basically sums up as "You may cast any spell you know as though it were Xth level, X being the level of your Pact Slots" or something to that effect. This is how I model the Boon of High Magic currently

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"

This^^^ But it won’t show up on your Spells page with your spell slots, it will be under actions like the other limited use stuff subclasses get.
Here is a work around that is decent, but only works for Custom Sub-Classes as far as I can tell:
1. Create a spell called "Free Spell Slot"
2. Add a class feature gives access to the spell called "Free Spell Slot"
3. Make sure the feature is set for 1 use, has access to the correct caster classes, and resets on the correct rest. I make it a Cantrip show it shows up at the top of the spell list on my D&D Beyond Character Sheet.
4. Make the spell NOT consume a spell slot, Make the spell NOT count as a known spell, and mark it ALWAYS PREPARED.
This will create a cantrip called "Free Spell Slot" on the D&D Beyond sheet with a "USE" button next to it that will reset after a rest. I would post pictures of this, but I cant figure out how to use the inset image function here ( probably because I'm a dummy ).
I'll give Beyond one thing, the UI for the sheets is more attractive, BUT.. I still prefer Roll20's due to how flexible its customization is when it comes to custom stuff. As such, you'll have to do one of the work arounds for it, or take it down as a note.

Here's a workaround I implemented for tracking additional spell slots for a custom subclass that didn't match up with existing classes. It doesn't link up to spells directly, but fulfilled my intended purpose half-way decently...
1. Create a homebrew Feat. 2. Give it a name, I chose "Custom Spell Slots". 3. Add an Action to the Feat. 4. Select "General" for Action Type. 5. Give it a name, I chose "Custom Spell Slot Tracker". 6. Select "Special" for Activation Type. 7. Select whatever type in appropriate for Reset Type, I chose "Short Rest" for mine. 8. Give it a Description. 9. Click Save. 10. Create a Limited Use entry. 11. Enter Number of Uses and a Level (I chose "1" for a single use and "1" for 1st level). 12. Click Save. Repeat 10-12 for each level you want to gain a slot.

As I mentioned the last time someone suggested this method of implementation, yes it will absolutely work, the only issue is that there is no way to get this to appear on the spells tab of the character sheet, so the player will have to shuffle a little while managing theses “spell slots.” But as long as that’s not an issue then it’s doesn’t matter.

Enhancing customization in D&D Beyond, like adding extra spell slots, is a great step toward creating a more immersive experience for both players and DMs. This feature could cater to unique campaign needs, house rules, or special character progressions. Perhaps introducing a mechanic that awards additional spell slots for achieving in-game milestones or special events could mirror a sense of dynamic progression.
This concept reminds me of how online platforms like https://plkasynaonline.com/darmowe-spiny-bez-depozytu/50-fs/ integrate user-centric features to boost engagement. For example, their service provides 50 free spins with no deposit required, giving players a chance to explore games and potentially win without upfront commitment. It’s a creative way of introducing new players to the platform, much like how bonus features in D&D Beyond could attract and retain users by offering flexible, user-driven options.

How do you do these things? There are no check boxes, or any other options to set these features in the spell creation rules.

I'll add you to a conversation I had with someone, that gave in depth description on how to do this. You'll have to change things a bit, but still.
You probably don't need it still, but hey. can't hurt.
agree with you
