I want to buy my friend some books on here to add to their collection but don't want to ask them what they don't have yet. Could you make it so we can see what they already own? With their consent of course; like a "share book list" button or a "make my collection visible" kind of thing.
Thanks!

It does seem strange that there isn't a way to enter the username of who you wanna gift it to so you can at least check against their collection, even if their list is private.

How would the lists be private if you could see them anyway? Why not just ask them which book(s) you could purchase for them, or give them the ~$35.

I would not want this information to be visible to anyone that knew my username. This seems like a horrible privacy violation. Even if they built a function to pick and choose who could see it, that function seems so niche that it wouldn't be worth it to spend the time programming considering all of the issues with implementing official game rules.

How is this not a thing already?
Has this become a thing yet? I want to surprise my DM's, but I don't want to buy them books, they already have.
Looking for the same thing. Any updates?
