I remember back maybe a year or so ago when DDB were using Trello for their roadmap, they had the DM Screen on there for a while. And this post from 2018also mentioned it being a planned feature. But as far as I can tell this feature has not been mentioned at all recently. Is it still in development? Or have they at least mentioned it as a possibility for the future still?
Besides implementing books, their top priority right now is implementing better inventory management. They have been working on this for quite a while now and I do not think they are near done yet.
I think they mentioned they might work on feat-like systems next (epic boons, dark gifts, piety, etc.) once they are finished with inventory management.
Everything else got lower priority and are probably on the backburner.
One of the issues with providing a “DM screen” is that different people mean different things by that. Is it a collection of rules and/or for handy reference, like a physical screen? If so, what rules and tables? Is it a way to see certain stats for all players on one screen? If so, which stats?
That said, there has been progress on the second type of DM screen, namely the Campaign view in the app, and the newly released to beta Encounters tool. In both you can see a players AC, movement, HP, and passive perception. The HP a auto updates. (In the encounters tool I believe you have to be running an encounter to see this.
