When you open the app you are presented with one character sheet. On this sheet clicking the small campaign icon brings up dice rolls and it shows the characters in the campaign.
If you click edit character on website and select the far right tab to open your character, It takes you to a different character sheet with different colors and different graphics and the ability to open the campaign and view the other characters character sheets. Totally different than the campaign button on the other sheet.
It's very frustrating trying to navigate this app.
The app is offline use and only updates it’s info once every 24 hours when your device syncs up. It has a built-in browser that only goes online when you click it so it can allow you to update some stuff in real-time and see the other players’ character sheets and stuff. That’s why, one is the app view, the other is the view in the built-in browser. You’re right, the app is frustrating, that why I don’t use it and just use the browser on my phone to use the website.
The reason for the different styles in the character sheet is that the mobile site is designed for browsers as a more compact version of the full size sheet, while the app is designed specifically for the app, leveraging more screen real estate etc.
