Since MOTM launched the race picker list is very messy with some sub races appearing outside of their "legacy" drop down menus, an example of this are the genasi which now have a drop down called "genasi" as well as individual genasi' through out the list.
Any chance it could be tidied up so that all the races new and old appear under their former drop downs. The same can be seen for all the duplicate races, it would be great if they could be put back in to subfolders where appropriate.

I agree, a toggle switch to enable/disable MotM would be nice, so that you can still see all the races it didn't include, and only see the updated races or vice versa.
I have this exact thought as well. Putting the Multiverse version at the top of the list for convenience would be nice, but having a most of the entries just listed twice is inconvenient. Even if they aren't technically "subraces" anymore (for some reason), I'd really appreciate them being grouped to improve the UI.
I'd rather be able to customize the list by creating folders and moving races. I also want to be able to toggle legacy content on and off, but individually for each race. As a DM, I also want to be able to assign a list of permitted races, including homebrew, for each of my campaigns. This way, I won't have to tell a new player that he can't play a Warforged in a Forgotten Realms setting after he spent time creating one. Players who are savvy enough to ask me what is permitted and what isn't would also no longer need to, since they would be given a list of everything that is permitted. For this to work, players would need to be able to create a character for a campaign rather than join one after creation. In other words, players should be able to link their account to a campaign instead of only linking characters.

It seems strange the "legacy" races (i.e. from VGtM or MToF) wouldn't just roll up as a subrace of the appropriate race. But that leads to the bigger problem - it seems like all the 'new' races in MotM aren't implemented as subraces at all, which leads to things like some elves being "Elves" subraces and some elves being listed as a totally separate race (e.g. Sea Elf) in the main list. It's completely haphazard and makes it very difficult to find things. This clearly needs some polish.
Quick question for you...... Are the races different in MotM? Asking cuss I have most of the races already n I don't see why I'd want new "copy's" if they aren't different.
For the most part, no. Among the biggest changes would be small creatures all have 30ft movement speed, such as Dwarves. They removed sunlight sensitivity for some races, as well allow all races included in MotM to choose between 3 +1's or 1 +2 and 1 +1 ASI. Some racial traits such as the Goliath's stones endurance can be used a number of times equal to their proficiency bonus per long rest, instead of just once.
There's probably a video out there detailing all the changes, or will be soon. I myself haven't gone through everything yet, this is just what I've seen.

Some races, like Aasimar, now have a choice between Medium or Small for size too.

Give us filters, or a "Standard" and "Legacy" dropdown sections so this isn't so awful..
