I did a search and only found one other suggestion similar to mine so here is it. As a DM, it would be good to have an area on the character sheet to have notes that the player can not see though this may fit into the campaign management too.

Polaris You haven't lived until you have died in character creation!
I hope inventory will be improved. The problem with it right now that fx. Bag of holding you can't see what you have put in it. also having items favorited so they are always on the top or have a separate part on the sheet for stuff like healing potions so when you use one you can easily deduct it from you quantity of what you have. This goes for arrows etc. Being able to drag things around so the person can customize sheet sections they want to see would be a big help.
What are you two talking about? You can add them now if you own the content. I have a dwarf I just made right now and I can pick one of the 2 dwarf ones at level 4.

We are talking about adding feats outside of straight level advancement by taking them instead of an ASI. The DM's Guide suggests using feats as possible epic quest rewards, and some DMs allow all players to choose a feat at first level.

That I believe is planned to be included in a future update (possible with the new Character Sheet Revamp). Some DMs allow Feats to be trained during downtime or given as rewards etc. My current workaround is to create them as homebrew magic items (knowing they aren't). It sorta works.

Yes, my answer above was telling the questioner that it is being added in the revamp. The next answer I gave was because Portaljacker was confused as to what we were talking about. ;)
I wasn't able to find this suggestion when I searched, I'd be surprised if it wasn't mentioned yet:
Just started a Tomb of Annihilation PbP campaign not to long ago and it really highlighted how ineffective the current char sheet is for managing and monitoring item acquisition and usage.
The ability to put items inside of their appropriate containers and signify whether they are being carried by your character or not would help greatly for auto-calculating encumbrance.
Also, it would be convenient if you could "purchase" items into your inventory. A second button next to the "Add Items" button would be sufficient. It could just say "Purchase Item" and the cost would be automatically deducted from your character's funds when selected. In that vein, seeing the price of the item from the char sheet would be nice.
A way to differentiate between starting equipment and items that were added later would also be nice so the that DMs could more easily keep players honest. In general, a better way of tracking changes made to a character sheet would be nice. I don't know if this is already a feature (I've never DM'd) but a DM could be able to go into a char sheet and see if the player had been regularly deducting their rations. Same thing with changing char ability scores/spells/feats/etc. Maybe even make it possible for a DM to "lock" certain aspects of the char sheet so they can't be changed without the DM either doing it themselves or unlocking the secret temporarily. Right now it seems a DM can only either trust the players to manage their sheets themselves (when it comes to health, spell usage, item acquisition/usage, etc.) or do everything for them.
The ability to add custom items that are similarly managed like normal items (i.e., not just as text under "Other Possessions"). For example, I purchased 16 daggers for my monk so that he can use them as throwing knives (since darts aren't monk weapons). If I did that normally, I'd have 16 daggers each taking up one line of inventory space each. If I could build a custom entry that problem would be solved.
Just wanted to throw in a small request for the ability to add things like skill or tool proficiencies. For example, I have a ranger with the Outlander background, but I spoke with my DM and instead of being proficient with a musical instrument, my character is proficient with Leatherworker's Tools. I can choose to simply ignore selecting an instrument when setting up my background, which is fine, but I have yet to find a way to add a proficiency with Leatherworker's Tools to my character sheet, unless it's just too hidden for me to find after 5-10 minutes of searching for a way to add it.
In that example, you can accomplish that by creating a custom background (it's one of the options in the drop down when you select your background). Just make a custom background that's the same in every way to Outlander, but replace that instrument proficiency with the one you want. I did that for a Kenku Criminal/Spy as I didn't think it would realistically be able to use a disguise kit to look like anything other than a different kenku.
I was afraid of having to do that. Seems really silly to have to completely rewrite the background to change one feature, and it wouldn't really help much in the case that a character would achieve proficiency with a new tool as a quest reward or something. I really don't see why we shouldn't have the ability to simply add things like extra feats, proficiencies, languages, features, etc.

This is coming in the character sheet revamp. You can watch the latest developer update to see it in action.
Do we have some sort of idea when they're hoping to have the Revamped character sheets drop? I know they don't want to give dates until things are ready so as not to disappoint, but..... it's been a year. lol
For “Printer” players and basic cell input improvements
Speed Cell - cuts off ft. maybe format with smaller text, just leave ft. off, or put SPEED (ft.) below.
Features & Traits – it would be nice to see the features and traits that I selected, “feat” doesn't tell me much about which Feat I selected anywhere on the sheet.
Ex. (Feats: Great Weapons Master)
Ex. (ASI - Lvl 4: +1 CON, +1 STR)
Ex. (Totem Spirit: Bear)
Equipment Cell - group individual but like items together
- Handaxe (2), - Warhammer (2)
Equipment Cell – cuts off equipment for printing, maybe equipped equipment goes into the top cell and excess equipment goes into the “treasure” cell as “equipment cont.-”
Backstory Cell – A warning on the box with a word count that says anything over XXX number of character will not show up on the character sheet and do a word count as people type in.
Additional Features and Traits – It would be nice to see a characters racial abilities and feats listed in this box or maybe just a page number in which manual listed.
New Character Sheet Revamp - Large Portrait (Character Images). Can there be a spot to upload a larger format character pic on the character sheet? Rather than just the small portrait? Maybe give us the option to toggle the picture on or off for display purposes?

One of the biggest issues I’ve seen from playing and watching streams is tracking concentration. It would be great if the new character sheet tracked what you’re currently concentrating on (when you Cast Spell) and then prompted you when you cast another spell as a reminder that it’ll replace what you were concentrating on. Also when you log damage it should ask you if you made your concentration check or not, and act accordingly.
Ideally it would be somewhere quite prominent, like Inspiration is, as a lot of tactical decisions are based around it and having to rethink your actions after you’re reminded that you’re already concentrating can really slow the game down.
It would be great to have a tab on the character page to take notes whilst playing, this would eliminate the need for any paper and clear up our table space!
Also approve of the previous suggestions for Druid wild shape slots and options like the spell page :)

Will there be a way to add the Racial Feats from XGtE during the character creation process/on the character sheet?

It was in the dev update. Q2
Containers are slated for a future pass on the revised character sheet. Won't be part of it when it drops, but will be added later, apparently.
