To my knowledge, no. I only remember one competition which was years ago. There may have been more but my brain be fuzzy on that. Since the WotC takeover the promotions have considerably dwindled.

That's lame. You shouldn't have to pay for the books twice to use them on here...
So, what, the software developers working on D&D Beyond shouldn't be paid for their work?
That's a gross misrepresentative extrapolation of the observation that someone shouldn't be expected to pay the same company twice to use the exact same content.

"The exact same content," would be a PDF copy of the publication files suitable for printing. It would not integrate into an automated character builder or provide searchable listings of all the content you have purchased on the platform in one place. I paid extra for DDB copies of several books I already had because that enabled me to do things I couldn't do with a print copy. I paid more to get more.
I may have issues with the pricing, and the recent sales haven't thrilled me at all, but I have no problem at all with the principle of paying extra for extra functionality.
Did you get the d&d beyond app you can claim some books for free they're mainly for gameplay but some of them do add like one or two races otherwise trying to stick with Homebrew get reliable Homebrew or make it yourself
