Could D&D Beyond make it a feature of the Homebrew content option during character creation that would allow the character to reach level 20 in more than one class?

The problem, as stated before, is that homebrew on DDB is expected to work with the rules, and the rules don't go beyond level 20.
You could have a house rule that proficiency goes up by 1 for every level above 20 or that it goes up every 4 levels, etc. DDB can't account for every possible house rule, so it doesn't try to support any of them.
This is also in compliance with their agreement with WotC that allows them to host D&D content I the first place.
As said elsewhere, if Wizards of the Coast publish official rules for expanding the game above level 20, then D&D Beyond will implement them.
yet we still dont see any epic boons coming our way, they are official and should of been here since day one. yet 4 years later we are still waiting on them. just saying... we understand the wait, we understand the points... but sometimes you contradicts yourselves... now we know that boons are coming our way and i hope the EXP will be able to reflect that by enabling to go further as the game actually and official says it is. just hope epic boons will be here sooner then later.
also just a heads up for those who wants higher then 20 levels... i tryed level 30 with friends.. and just 20 levels of one class as well as 10 levels of another is exponentially making the character stronger... meaning that it takes a CR about 50 to defeat a level 30 character. so be aware that higher levels of classes, do make the game quite harder for the DM. that said, to me... level 30 is godly. so it depends on how you play. but to me as we tryed, 30 is pretty much stronger then tiamat and by a lot. she is CR 30 by the way.

I agree it shouldn't have taken this long, at least it is in the short term future finally (last I heard).

It's been over a year, is there any plans to put in epic levels in DDB?
There are no official rules for levels beyond 20 in D&D fifth edition, and as such D&D Beyond will not add any such rules unless Wizards of the Coast adds them.
There are epic boons, which D&D Beyond doesn't currently natively support, but the planned General Features System will bring that support.

As a matter of fact it has been over 2 years since your question was answered. Its hard to find, you have to scroll 1 whole comment past the thread's title.
DDB will support epic levels as soon as the game supports epic levels.
Acctualy in dming a campaign for all my friends and have allowed all my players to go beyond level 20 and found this place looking to see if others have tried. Scaling wise I've said every 20 levels to raise the cap for ASI by 10 and later on il homebrew creatures and whatnot.
Tbh though the game im hosting is less like DND and more like a DND based game. It's not an easy thing to do going beyond level 20. Loot wise it gets tricky as to what to give them when the scaling of a groups power can vary so much as they have all these really powerful combos between classes.enemies I scale based on my group itself as past the level 20 mark they all start becoming too powerful for base DND stat sheets.ofbyou go beyond 20 too chances are they are going to want more legendary and artifact items which makes the process much harder to balance. Solution I've came up with is to upscale the rarity system and the stats different rarities have. This makes it so when you do get a legendary item if FEELS like one and not just another sword that you can use whenever past 20
Class wise I've said no more than 2 multiclasses at any given time and you can only go into another once you hit lvl 20 on one you currently have. Class items and whatnot become redundant after a certain level otherwise
I also think of you plan to go beyond level 20 ruling needs to be looked at at some points. For example chance to hit, AC aswell as just all stats WILL increase to levels much higher than normal if you go by this system. This then goes onto the ASI issue where classes give you a maximum of 10 ASI per class( varies depending on classes of coarse) and if the maximum is always rising there are going to be dump stats. Either the magic items you get either give you ability scores or the players need another income for them. Anyway that's what I've been trying with my squad and my co DM so far.

Ah, that makes more sense. Legal constraints can be a *****.
We need to seek a higher power.

What did you do for spell slots above level 20?
It's been over a year, is there any plans to put in epic levels in DDB?
No, because there are no epic levels in this edition.

It's been another year and still no epic boon support lol.
This is literally being worked on right now. Will be coming out later this year. Finally.
