This is a minor usability thing, but I'd love to be able to get into the compendium rulebooks in fewer clicks/interactions.
I can quickly get to spells, items, monsters, classes, etc., through the navigation icons: either by clicking on the icons directly, or by using the hover menus nested inside the icons to go directly to a particular page. But when I want to look up a rule or see how the PHB is describing alignment, I have to go to Compendium (hover) Rules, click, then wait for the page to load, then scroll and click on the right book. THEN I can begin browsing for the desired rule or topic.
A great example of how I'd like it to work is the Backgrounds or Feats submenus under the Characters icon. They each have separate hoverable submenus that let you click Official, Homebrew, or Create and go directly to those pages.
If the Compendium menu options (Rules, Adventures) had hoverable submenus that listed the individual book titles in that category, and let me click one of the titles to go directly to its main TOC page, that would be freaking fantastic.
I know it's a small thing. But it would make a big difference to me in terms of navigation.
Keep up all the great work! I appreciate what you're doing. :-)

I second this idea.
While information could be searched from the omni-search bar at the top, being able to access a specific book/chapter of a book from whatever page you are into by just moving the mouse pointer around would definitely be a nice quality of life improvement. Well thought!

Holy crap, thank you! I wasn't expecting it to be implemented exactly as I described it, and certainly not so quickly! This is a great quality-of-life improvement for me. Thank you again! <3
There's a particular point I find to be really interesting, about how they keep the submenu open even if you mouse-over a different T1 option by triangulating your trajectory:
Ever since I read that article, I notice whenever a menu is missing that particular UX improvement. For instance, try to go straight from "Compendium->Rules" to "Monster Manual" without tracing the Rules button to the right.
Yeah, the existing sub-menus are a quick stop-gap. We've got a major re--work of our header / navigation / menus coming that will have a better UX. Thanks for sharing that article, though!
Once opening character sheet of a character part of a campaign there is no way to navigate back to campaign to select next one. You have to go all the way back from main page. Find that navigation bit clunky
keep up the good job

Wow you guys are speedy! Thanks for putting the idea forward and thanks for quick implementation!
Damn Hartless - that is a sweet upgrade. Thank you!
@HartlessD20 - There's an article I found really interesting on implementing good mouseover submenus, based a bit on how Amazon does it. http://bjk5.com/post/44698559168/breaking-down-amazons-mega-dropdown

Just thought I'd share.

Campaign menu part of that revamp?
