I've not used it, but has Maps VTT been intergrated with the character sheets yet? If not, that's a BIG want for me.
Maps has been integrated with the character builder since the beginning, but maybe it depends on what exactly you mean by that. What specifically are you looking for there?
It has the characters, but it does not (and probably won't ever) give spectators the ability to roll on their characters sheet on the page.
I'll take that back if they include it when they add digital dice, but it's the same as the old encounter tool, where you couldn't roll for characters, or adjust character HP, because that's not what DM does.
as a dm it would be nice to have a section for magic and regular items I want to use in my session, being able to add into a folder or pair with an encounter. that I can then give to the character players, it would make loot and shops easier, and no confusion on the variant of the item.
Probably been mentioned already, but homebrew classes would be great. We keep getting 3rd party classes and I can't imagine it'd be too hard to let us use the interface.
I can't imagine it'd be too hard to let us use the interface.
From everything we've been told, it would be. Classes aren't filled out using the forms like all other homebrew options. Instead they're written directly into the sites code to support whatever bespoke features they use. The artificer is a great example—that required an addition to the character sheet to support infusions. As many have pointed out before, that's not the kind of edit access it'd be wise to grant the average user as it'd be trivial to make mistakes (or malicious changes) that'd break a whole host of things. Homebrew classes are one of the least likely, if not the least likely, things we'd get just based on the level of edit permissions it'd require granting.
- I'd love for there to be some more basic quality of life improvements to the homebrew section, stuff like an option to make a duplicate copy of an existing homebrew I've made in the past that i might want to alter without replacing it outright.
-An option that would let me copy existing features from other existing materials that are similar to what I'm trying to make to help save on time programing a feature or spell. For example, if I wanted to make a subclass akin to a battle master for the monk I'd have to spend hours copying over every maneuver and imputing every action, saving throw and dex and str variant of each ability. a simple drop down for duplicate feature would save so much time and make homebrewing so much easier both in this case or in the case of editing an existing feature.
- An option for changing classes for subclasses would be nice, that way if i change my mind about what class i want to attach to a subclass or if i want to try a different class subclass combination for a homebrew i don't have to remake the entire subclass i could simply change the class on the drop down menu for class.
- I'd love for there to be an option for making homebrew additional/optional class features on the site
- I'm probably beating a dead horse here but homebrewing classes should be a default and I'm not exactly sure why it isn't already available.
1- More free stuff, so much more paid content is added. It's been a while since we've gotten more free content with stuff like (Species, monsters, items, and subclasses)
2- Ability to add characters to campaign as DM, (And notes, and writing, and NPC, and like a journal. Idk which of these may be already a thing)
3- Custom classes (Me want :D)

Why? Why do the fools fly? Better to burn sooner than late, for burn we must. Go back to your bonfire! And I? I will go now to my pyre. To my pyre! No tomb for Denethor and Faramir. No tomb! No long slow sleep of death embalmed. We will burn like heathen kings before ever a ship sailed hither from the West. The West has failed. Go back and burn!
A way to filter what user's homebrew is shared in my campaign. I want my homebrew but I don't want random homebrew my players have created or added to the their libraries to be available in my campaigns
Probably a niche thing, but the ability to choose different dice sets for individual characters. Many people already have character specific dice sets physically, so it would be nice to be able to do this digitally. The ability for people to have dice that fit the character without having to change it in the menu each time would be very useful. It would also make people probably buy more digital dice, because it may fit their character. It would also be nice with a shared account, allowing different people to use different dice sets for characters rather than all of them using whatever was most recently selected.
Let us choose dice for each character sheet just like the themes, the dice as they are are underutilized.

It is not permissible under the TOS to have a "shared account", so that point is not relevant.
That said, they haven't even fixed the bug where choosing whether to use dice for a specific character at all, affects all the other characters.

So if my partner wanted to play, she couldn't use my account to create a character?

No, this is a violation of both D&D Beyonds terms of service, as well as the TOS of all the login providers DDB uses (Apple, Twitch, Google, and Wizards)
