I have been playing a campaign with my children, and my two oldests downloaded the DND Beyond app and claimed their characters, which is awesome! However, since they are no longer MY characters, I cannot access the characters in the builder and print them to PDF. is there a way to print another player's character from the website?
If you are the DM of the campaign you can still access the character sheets. On the campaign page click on edit for the character you wish to print. Go to "what's next" and you can export the sheet from there.
Thanks. Unfortunately I am not the DM, my brother is. I guess I can either get him to export the sheets and email them to me, or is it possible to switch the DM of a campaign?
I do not believe it is possible to switch DM in a campaign, so your brother emailing the pdfs would have to do, unless you get the players to unassign their characters so you can pick them up again.
Thanks for your help with this, I appreciate it! I played 1st and then second edition in high school and I am excited to be able to share this with my kids and their friends. The DND beyond site makes this so much easier, I just need to learn the ins and outs more.
Maybe I should create a new campaign and move the characters to that one?
I played a mixture of AD&D, B/X, and 2e back in the day and have been using DDB while running an after school program. It's very useful, especially when we had to go remote for a while. The Discord bot really helped.
I suppose you could create a new campaign, if your brother doesn't mind.
Just be aware that whomever is now in control of those characters would have to first remove them from the current campaign before they could join the new campaign with those characters.
