For a weekend DnD session I wanted to create my Homebrewclass and the corresponding Spells in Dnd Beyond. Unfortunately I'm too stupid for that, is there any idiot-proof manual how to do it? Didn't find anything in my (admittedly short) research.
Currently though you can't create Classes just sub-classes though this is something that I think is planned as part of the homebrew revamp but that is a little ways down the road.
A class, or just a sub-class? Whole classes are not supported. For the other stuff, go to the Creations menu and then on the right click the appropriate "Create ..." button under homebrew.
For my upcoming campaign my player will use a homebrewed class that I'm fully okay with, but I don't see a way how to make it in here... Is it possible to edit the actual class abilities in the character sheet?

Hello Asmodejus,
There is no way to create a homebrew class, or edit base class features on D&D Beyond at this time. It is planned for the longterm road map. You can create homebrew subclasses, races, backgrounds, feats, magic items, spells and monsters currently.
Can't wait for this to come out of the pipeline! :D Full homebrew classes would be fantastic, or even just the ability to edit parts of existing classes instead of just the sub class option

In the top bar, go to Creations and it should be there. You can create a class, race, spells, items, etc. all from that menu.

Omg I never noticed there was no Create Class option. My dyslexia is showing.

I agree, like, bring back the revised ranger class. :)
We there yet? i'm finding this post a year after it was created and just wondering if it's actually still in the works?

That depends on exactly what you mean by “make a campaign.” But tentatively, the answer is yes.
