You'll be looking for this thread about tool-tips! Here's an example of a tool tip:
[ spell]Eldritch blast[ /spell] without spaces gives us: Eldritch blast
Ok I tried this but for whatever reason all my 1st level spells are not showing up but all the other ones are…
You probably did some copy/paste for those 1st-level spells, or perhaps there was some kerfuffle with italicized or emboldened text. Am I right? If so that likely introduced some errant code that is fouling the tooltips. At the top of the description field for your homebrewyou should see a series of grey buttons, find the one with the following symbol and click/tap it:
</>
That will allow you to see the html source code for that field and you will be able to check if there is anything in those tooltips that shouldn’t be there; (acommon culprit is the following code where a space should be):
and I checked the html and there is nothing weird but when I go into the app and check the character I have this set up on, I have none of these as first level spells I only have 2nd level. Also to make it more weird when I check the subclass on the website I can see they are linked but they never are given as spells when you are within a character.
Those are just tooltips, they don’t interact with character sheets in any way. To have them show up on your character sheet you have to do something else. What class is it, and in what capacity are these spells supposed to be added? That will dictate how you have to do it.
Oh ok I understand now that’s why I was confused. This is an attempt to fix not being able to change spells for the aberrant mind subclass atm. Also my dm is letting change a few things up about what spells I can choose from.

I suspected you weren't actually talking about tooltips. That is why I asked.

You'll want to go to the "spells" section of that feature (past the description and modifiers) and edit that.

Yep thank you! I was getting super frustrated but I figured it out thanks for your help.
Ok so here’s what I typed in the field:
magnify gravity, dissonant whispers, witch bolt

Hey, this tooltip works for custom spells or only official ones?
Only official spells. If you want to tooltip homebrew spells, please see the General Homebrew FAQ #9: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq).

I see. Thanks anyway!
Is there any way to force the mark-up Chill Touch to link to the 2024 version of the spell?
I am also interested how can one make it show the 2024 version
Produce flame _ Produce flame
Chill touch _ Chill touch
Edit: Oh f*k yeaah
I figured it out so
for the old version write : " [ spell ] Spell name [ / spell ]
and for new version write : [ spells ] spel name [ /spells ]
For 2024 version you need to write "spells" and for 2014 "spell" it needs to be plural.
FYI, this pluralizing thing works for some of the other tags as well. There's a list here:

(Although that post is originally from 2017, it has been edited recently with newer updates including the 2024 stuff.)
