I had been thinking with the discussion I've seen about Spell Versatility from the Class Features UA and the general hissy fit it is causing what would happen if all caster just prepared Level + Mod for full casters, 1/2 level + Mod for half casters, and 1/3 level + Mod for eldritch knight and arcane trickster?
I can't speak for many other classes, but I personally really like the thematic ties of a Sorcerer just innately knowing their magic. I love the spell versatility from the UA in a mechanical sense, it helps solve several complaints the Sorc players have about spells known. As far as RPing knowing a different spell on the other hand... I wouldn't want to blend all spellcaster mechanics together like that for that reason.
I would definitely, especially at lower levels. suddenly you have 5 spells at level 1 instead of 2.
Also since warlocks get so few slots and they are a max level they are all about getting maximum effectiveness. Have so many options increases your chances of applying your slots to maximum effectiveness drastically.

Bards would become the gods of a new world.
Warlocks suddenly also have 29 spells (25 known + 4 mystic arcanum)
Might need to have them prepare as a half caster to accommodate the difference in pact magic, but give them the patron spells always prepared

Check out my latest homebrew: Mystic Knight (Fighter) v1.31
they would still get 29 spells 15 + 10 +4
They would still only have 4 slots though, so I'm not sure 10 more spell would make a difference.
