Hi, I've played D&D since before it was Advanced (like 1979), but I'm totally new to 5e. I'm trying to start up a PnP game and I'd like to have printed copies of the players characters. They can create them in dndbeyond, and I think I've figured out how they can send them to me (Share, copy the link, etc.) but I can't figure out how to print out the entire sheet (it doesn't show some of the stuff at the bottom of the sheet).
Is there some way of printing out your character sheet from dndbeyond? or do they have to manually copy everything into an editable pdf or something?
I've found it missing enough information for spells and feats that I have to spend a bunch of time editing the PDF to make them useable. Full spell descriptions would be great.

Although that works for classes who pick spells at level up (e.g. Sorcerer, Warlock), full spell descriptions become highly impractical if you're a class who can prepare spells daily (Cleric, Druid, etc). You'd end up with so many pages, including a lot of spells you won't take or use. It's where making spell cards or referring to the books/website becomes necessary.
Agreed that it is missing some details though like damage for cantrips and other spells.
More or less in the same boat as you..catching up to 5e. It's a lot easier to have these sheets calculate things out and print them. I'm finding that when I printsome of the skills they are misaligned so, for example, you have a persuasion skill but cant tell if it's +1 or +4 because its hidden halfway across the line. Then other areas that are for description such as "name" under the weapons/attacks section are very feint. I'm wondering if this is the printer or if there is an in house print option (such as in google docs, and are these sheets supposed to be printed in colour?
I've discovered the same problems and it seems like it's the PDF program that is the issue. After trying Ashampoo PDF pro and a few others, I'm now using Microsoft edge and everything prints fine. For typing up a document, and allowing it to be edited you might want something else, however.
I usually save the entire character sheet to a pdf, the go in and delete things like the save/attack values and HP...as those things change when you level. .then I print and wrote those values on with pencil. Otherwise you end up reprinting your character sheet every level
When I print mine it is not including any of the recent level up (cleric level 3) nor is it including the weapons modifiers I made for finding magic weapons

There are sometimes caching issues. Try logging out, logging back in, and giving it 15-20 minutes, then export again. That should at least deal with the recent level up. I'm not sure how well customizing weapons/attacks exports. Are they magic weapons you can add as items rather than customizing things?

Thanks for your help.
When you are on the last step of the character builder in the editor, there is an option to export the character sheet as a PDF.
Oh THANK YOU!!! Simple answer, but sometimes you just miss things.
You can do this after creation as well. There's an arrow next to your character's name in the top left. Export option is at the bottom.
OH, EXCELLENT! Thanks! That's really useful.
Be careful - not all of the descriptions for abilities / feats / etc. are shown on the PDF printout.
Yeah, it leaves off some equipment items from backgrounds and such.

Please take a look at my homebrewed Spells, Magic Items, and Subclasses. Any feedback appreciated.

Mine just prints out blank no matter what character I chose.

The Microsoft Edge tip was very quick and successful! Thank you! Firefox wasn't cutting it.
I can't print mine it comes out blank. Why? The sheet is there but it is not filled out.
Some pdf apps (especially on iPads) don't handle form fillable pdfs properly. What device are you using? What app are you using to view/print from?

I logged in through MS Edge and it seemed to work.
