So far I've always been able to find a thread where I can get a solution for my issues. But right now I'm stuck.
I want to create some homebrew racial feets that focus on the special traits of the various races. First thing I would've wanted to try is the following Feat:
Prerequisit: Race - Aasimar (easily done) Probably Cha stat increase +1 (to fit into the theme that aasimars are all about Cha) Effect: Increases the times you're able to use the Aasimar's "Healing Hands" and "Wings/Glow/etc." to a number equal to their charisma modifier (drop in the general min: 1) instead of just "once per long rest".
I wanted to create stuff like this as feats so the players would need to decide if they want the regular ability increase instead. Is there a way to influence racial feats through a feat? So basicaly: exchange the once per long rest with X times per long rest (x = cha mod).
The only other way to point out the aasimar features even more would be to duplicate the race and add this to the level progress maybe and change the features themselves by replacing them... but then I would still have the issue that I would need to somehow block out the ability increase/feat and it's less of an active decission.
Would be cool if someone would know a way to achieve this. And I hope my english makes kinda sense.
You can't create a feat or item that overrides or edits existing features from somewhere.
What you can do is add "limited use" entries to describe additional uses of the feature. So, the player can check the boxes as used.

Yes that was also an idea then the character would just have a copy of that ability with the additional uses.
Thanks for your time!
