The mobile alpha early access period will start in the next few days. The invites have just been sent to the full list of folks that either A) purchased a Legendary Bundle at some point or B) pre-ordered Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
In that email, you'll need to follow the instructions and fill out the short form to make sure we have your proper Apple or Google account email to get your alpha access configured. The emails were sent to your Twitch/ DDB registered email address, but that might not be the right email needed for you to access the alpha on your mobile device (hence the small registration process).
The intent is for access to go live this week. Everyone that got an invite will receive further notification with download/ access instructions soon.
We have also opened up Mobile Alpha subforums under both the D&D Beyond Feedback and Bugs & Support forums. As testing begins, be sure to share your feedback and any issues you encounter there to help us focus on what is reported for mobile.
Keep in mind this is actually an alpha (even if it's fairly polished for that status) - there will be bugs and things that go wrong. We have some great error logging. Just think that any time you have a problem that you are making the app better!
Also, as I've shared before, the initial mobile launch will include compendium content - you can access all your D&D content on the go. Listings (spells, items, monsters), the character builder and sheet, and campaign management will not be included in the first pass. The point is that the compendium content in "e-reader" form adds a great deal of value, and we didn't want to hold that back from the community while those other elements are added in the coming months.
Finally, we've been asked many times whether alpha access will open up to everyone at some point. The current plan is "yes," but we don't have any timelines or further expectations surrounding that to share yet. Stay tuned.

Fantasy Grounds Ultimate License holder, so anyone can play in my games! I've been playing RPGs for around 20 years now and have never looked back. I've played Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Dungeons & Dragons 2nd & 4th Edition, Cyberpunk 2020, Shadowrun 2nd & 5th Edition, Tales of the Floating Vagabond, Pendragon 4th Edition, Pathfinder, Warhammer FRPG 2nd Edition, Star Wars D6/d20/Saga/FFG, Robotech (Palladium), and various other homemade systems.
Yep. I will be testing this on both Samsung 6 Edge phone and on Samsung S2 Tablet even though I plan on using the tablet almost 100% of the time at the table. Looking forward to it!

Will the beta just be limited to those who preordered zanthers. Will dms be able to share the mobile beta with their players?
Same question I had. I use the app a lot, but my players get the most function out of it at the moment. Would love to be able to get their input on the app.

Have to say. I am extremely excited to try the mobile app.
I use the app a lot, but my players get the most function out of it at the moment. Would love to be able to get their input on the app.
