Chris was such an amazing part of our D&D and Wizards of the Coast family for 28 years, and we thank him for all he has done to engage with our fans and community. From working on countless books, including the 2024 core rulebooks, to providing mentorship to the next generation of creatives here at D&D, he is a class act all around.
We are sad to see him go but hope to bring him back to the DM table for special events sometime soon. Until that time, cheers to a wonderful career and thank you!
D&D is in good hands as we continue the hard work Chris did and trust the people he surrounded himself with who will step up to bring exciting D&D products and updates to our fans and players for years to come.
We invite you to share your well-wishes, favorite memories, or best game moments from an adventure Chris made!
[CM note: This is a space to wish Chris well, not a space to complain and fearmonger. Please take that elsewhere.]

My best wishes to the person who has done so much for D&D. I believe he has earned himself an adventure purely as a fan now. I first learned about Chris on Critical Role, where he played Spurt, a Kobold with a deathwish. May your retirement wishes come true for you just as Spurt's did for him.
Thank you Chris Perkins, I've learned so much from watching you DM Dice Camera Action, and Acq Inc.. I wish you a very joyful future, and don't get sidetracked in the Feywild!
Your work has made such a wonderful impact on the game of Dungeons and Dragons, and on the lives of us who have benefited from your passion and skills. I wish you all the best and hope to sit at a table with you at a con in the future!
This man genuinely loves DND, did more work than he should have had to, & has faced so much hate.
Chris Perkins, retire easy. You were NEVER the problem with DND.
Here's hoping Crawford moves to Perkins's former advisory position, & Mackenzie Di Armas takes over as head of game design. Because she comes off as the rightful successor to both.
My hometown is the same small city that WotC calls home. That led to my personal experience meeting Chris.
At a tiny convention in Renton, in a small room of maybe 25 people he talked and talked and talked about his methods to create inspiring worlds, campaigns and adventures. He took questions. This tiny convention, which no longer does tabletop stuff, wasn't a marketing opportunity for Perkins or WotC.
It was a way to embrace the hyper local community of creators in South King County.
Chris shook hands and thanked every person who lined up to do so after, many of us missing our next event. It was all rather simple, genuine and exactly what confirmed that he was the type of person to lead D&D.
Thank you, Chris, for your incredible contributions to Dungeons & Dragons over the decades. Your passion, creativity, and dedication have profoundly shaped the game we all love and cherish. Your storytelling has brought countless adventures to life, inspiring players and Dungeon Masters alike. You've not only crafted unforgettable worlds but also fostered a community where imagination and camaraderie thrive. Your guidance and insights have been invaluable, whether through your amazing panels at cons, live play D&D, or the countless hours you've spent behind the scenes. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to this hobby we love. Your legacy will continue to inspire future generations of adventurers. We are all better for having shared in the worlds you've created.

Looks like Crawford is exiting too, albeit with less fanfare: https://screenrant.com/jeremy-crawford-chris-perkins-leaving-dnd-interview/
Can a CM confirm?
Thanks for your part in making the game so easy to re-embrace after my 33 yr absence!
