What are WoTC's plans for rolling out core rule/source content when it goes into commercial release (presumably, you aren't planning to just give it away)? Are the Phase Three "campaign management" material going to have a "seeking players/parties" function? Will you be able to do fully play-by-email (great for people with social anxiety disorders and/or toddlers)?
Has there been an expected date announced for phase 2 yet? I am enjoying all the hard work and material so far, but excited to play around with the character builder!! :)

Again, great job!
play-by-email is a thing? I have never heard of this. How exactly does that work?
I really like the spell list and search functionality. I can't wait for the ability to make a custom list of spells that my character knows so that I can easily refer to this list while playing. Even that functionality in the form of an IOS and/or Android app will fill a huge demand for official tools to help speed up games and help players prepare.
I mainly use a Gen 6 iPod Touch running iOS 10 for things, being I'm not always at my laptop, so I'm hoping there might be an iOS app in the works here. The fact that there are other D&D apps (like the ones by Lion's Den) in existence leads me to believe that an app for D&D Beyond would actually be possible. Can't wait to be able to get a chance to try this in action!
Oh, I don't know if it's an official thing or not.
It's basically just like it sounds. Basically long-form remote gaming for people who can't reliably set aside an hour or two a week. I would imagine that it would work just by the DM describing what happens in a group email, followed by characters describing reactions in a group email. I played a couple of Werewolf:The Apocalypse gaming sessions by email, and it worked well. I've never played D&D this way, but there's no reason it wouldn't work - although it would probably be a better experience for people who enjoy writing and enjoy each other's writing. Another similar method would be play-by-post on message boards, which would be the same concept.
By way of a blast from the past, back in the old days before the internet, I think people did fully play-by-snail-mail. Before my time, but kind of wild from today's standards.

Yeah. It used to be more of a thing. It's really great when you have young kids and/or are fresh out of school trying to figure out the whole job thing. Because it's asynchronous (i.e. you don't all have to be active at the same time), you can make a move during lunch break, while waiting for dinner to cook, before bed, etc. The only real hang-up is that everyone has to be able to post on a reasonably consistent, comparable schedule -- it really sucks if 5 people are making a move daily(ish) and the 6th can only post twice a week.
I've done both actual PBEM (using email) and bulletin board play. There actually used to be a site called pbem.com that had a custom BBS that let you embed die rolls, hide DM-only or DM-to-single-player comments, etc. in-line with the posts. I still have the email archives for a Mage: the Ascension game that ran for three years in email before migrating to PBEM.com.
For an idea of what it looks like, in practice, just hop over to the Play-by-Post forum on this site. Everything else is variation on that theme (do it in email, do it with cool highlighting, etc.).

It looks amazing and easy to navigate through. Even when creating a character it shows an easy to read and well shown guide to make one.

Found out about this site @Origins2017 and am totally in awe. Great job so far and am looking forward to everything to come.

Other posts said it should be out by the end of the month (June). I check it a couple times a week.
