He seems strangely calm and more intellectually curious about the device than panicked about being near it. He goes with the others into the other room. (I assume he would have at least one sigil sequence for the cloaks base? He’s been here for a while now, getting indoctrinated into the cloak’s structure, but true he doesn’t really care about them, just sees them as a tool to gain arcane knowledge)

Once a crypt for storing cremated remains, the walls of this room retain the many small niches used ro hold burial urns in days long past. Now, the small spaces make apt shelves for bottles and flasks filled with liquids and herbs, these alchemical reagents number in the hundreds.
A red wizard works at a bench, carefully transferring a blue liquid into a flask of red liquid, heated feom bow by a flame. Nearby, a flesh golem stirs a vat of bubbling noxious green liquid with a large wooden stick. The golem growls angrily as the door opens. "Quiet down, you buffoon!" The wizard calls, but the growling continues. "I said.." He looks up, seeing the open door and an unfamiliar face. "Intruders!"
tetrevess is slow to react to the scene of the wizard and golem, looking over his shoulder and muttering something to Chadderly.
“This is actually my second experience with a powerful destructive sphere. I owned a sphere of annihilation for a time…. More trouble than it was worth, actually. Swapped it out for some other items. Pretty handy for drilling holes in things though… oh hello!”
(While we're waiting on Chad and the transmuter, just a reminder that friendlies within 10 ft of Angus have a +3 to all saves, and are immune to charms. Also, Angus picked up mage slayer for his bonus feat.)
(Cool! I assume the Cloaks have a sigil sequence teleportation circle in a secured area of the tower.. this is where Tetrevess will plan to go assuming we survive this battle. He’s still maintaining concentration on the wall of stone, BTW)
Sam / Akame: Don't worry about time in game, just state how you'll get back in abd join the fray. Might need a check depending on the plan. Wall of stone is probably your biggest obstacle, though.
(Sorry.. so usually, tetrevess casts telepathic bond on the group, as a ritual. But this time, he didn’t know he was coming here until the cloaks sent him, and he caught up with the group as you were breaking in. Would Sam know we were headed eventually for the basement?)
They.. probably know it's in the basement ("catacombs", really. I wrote basement at least once on a map, same thing).
Chadderlay would at least know that's the secure area where the Ambassador spends all of his time and the other wizards do experiments there. I'm making it so that Chadderlay basically just got to Mulmaster and that area is still off limits at this point. Political intrigue and all that. Maybe testing his loyalty, maybe trying to get his aunt in a vulnerable position. I'm just trying to make the game work when one of the party is from the other side. It's a justification.>
<its been almost a day. Do you guys just want to use side initiative? I often do. It's 12.5 to 12.33, so NPCs would go first. I think I'm just going to post in thst order so we can keep the game moving. Any objections?>

I don't really think you need this map, I just know it encourages combat to roll ahead. Chadderly is up, then the transmuter.
Those little gray blobs are pillars, grey triangles are doors. You can use the other door if yoi prefer
