Oox will grab a box marked "Spicy Spike's Spiked Spice: the only booze-infused cayenne pepper in the galaxy", absorbs it into its ooze-body, and sluggishly slink up the ladder.
The leader in black walks up to the ladder and presses a button. The spikes in the rock and three inch long bars on the sides of the pole retract into a flanged rod. (see spoiler)

Loaded down, the trek back down the path Oox, Tink, and Rando came is much slower at the back of the line. They pass by the glowing green lake but then take a different path.
The passage way narrows but opens up into a vast cavern. As you exit the cave, please make a Perception Check.

The rod seems to be a wonderfully engineered device, but you haven't seen or heard of one before.

Sounds ricochet in odd ways in the Underdark. Claws on stone too quiet for ears jiggle the cell membrane of Oox' oocyte.
It is at the edge of his perception, but is sure something is coming from up the cliff... directly above Yuri, who moments ago stepped out of the cave.
Surprise round action: Oox casts SHIELD OF FAITH on Yuri, giving him +2 AC (It's a Concentration spell so I will decide to continue it or not next round)
Move action: Oox slimes away from the crate of spices, leaving it carefully settled on the cave floor.
