( Assuming Jasons attack really hit, and you wouldn’t know the AC nor the Hp on a creature in character)
the Barrage of attacks from the Party, arrows, daggers, kobold punches and finally the crackling of eldritch energy strikes the mighty boar as it was about to turn its sights on another. It stops for a second, gives out a huff and a gasp and drops to the ground. At just that moment, a fellow you have never seen comes running out of the nearby cave yelling a warning. He is being chased by a huge, manta like creature that bares an uncanny resemblance to a wool cloak someone might wear.
(continued initiative from 1st round, Dungho is up)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dungho Dave , relieved by the near miss and the subsequent take down of this massive boar, sees the gentleman running from out if the cave with the nasty looking creature following close behind and he will hunters mark it and fire an arrow at the thing.
Salt Peet will move to L10 and cast fire bolt at the ugly beast.
Peet vs Beastie- Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Peet says some strange draconic words while thrusting his hand forward with a twisting motion as a dragon shaped bolt of fire shoots forth towards his target.

Eldrin moves 30 feet more from H5 to N6. He casts magic missile from a 2nd level slot at the "cave monster" as four motes of force strike for 5 + 3 + 3 + 5,
It is too much, tweak it so the dmg is in line with the rest of the party. If you want to do unarmed fighting, maybe switch to monk which has the proper mechanics
or you could use unarmed strike 3+1d6 lightning as your normal attack the cloud attack as the special 1d12 once per short rest…maybe have one of your hands encased in metal or something for flavor maybe someone shoved your hand into molten metal…
My character is unarmed, but I went with fighter so I could use like a million attacks, and not have to do magic also my character (and to a further extent, me) isn’t really the meditating type, so monks don’t make sense
@rafflmandel if you are looking for someone to help you "tweak" your homebrew fighter subclass, "lightning rigger", please share it with me or share publicly, so that we can see what you have already done and I'd be happy to help you balance it for this campaign and potentially others.
It won’t let me share it, but you should be able to see it since you are in the campaign with me
Lightning Fist A brawling fighter who was struck by lightning and now has elemental damage imbued in his fists! 3rd Martial Arts, same as a monk (no difference) 3rd Spellcasting, half caster like an eldritch knight but Wisdom based spells and Ranger Spell List. Must prepare Lightning Mark, same as Hunter's Mark but lightning damage 3rd Colossus Slayer, same as Ranger Hunter but only works with unarmed attacks
If you like this subclass, it will give you unarmed attacks 1d4 plus your choice in strength or dexterity A bonus action to use your unarmed attack a second time each round Limited by spell slots, must use a bonus action to cast, and requires concentration, +1d6 lightning damage from Lightning Mark custom spell Add +1d8 additional damage when hitting an injured creature, once per round
Edena’s dmg round 1. -6 + 14

dungho vs creature- Attack: 15 Damage: 8 + 3
Dungho Dave’s arrow strikes true, slowing the creature slightly as it realizes its easy meal just got more complicated.
Salt Peet will move to L10 and cast fire bolt at the ugly beast.

Unfortunately, the bolt goes wide and slams into the rocks far behind the moving critter..

Creature-4
Eldrin is up, top of the order, creature is last.
Eldrin moves 30 feet more from H5 to N6. He casts magic missile from a 2nd level slot at the "cave monster" as four motes of force strike for 5 + 3 + 3 + 5,
Eldrin’s magical missiles slam into the creatures face, making it uglier than it was before, but also more determined.
Mr Erdon and the marvelous DeDe
My unarmed attack is my strength roll, +an extra 1D6 from my martial archetype
I use cloud to cloud, an ability that’s once per short rest, to move up to 35 feet towards an enemy and roll to hit
12
26 damage because strength roll, and then 1D6 extra lightning
and then 1D12 extra again because cloud to cloud in 5 foot radius
Your dmg would be 3+ 1d6.
You would need to show that in writing somewhere . There is no way a 3lvl 15 str kobold is punching for that kind of damage
???
you approved my character, why are you dissing my

martial archetype?
looking back on my subclass, might be a bit op, needs some tweaking, but it exists solely to do high dps to a single target, until level 12+

If not magic what is the lighting from? Pm me a better description of what your character does, how and why and we can tweak it to make it reasonable

Can I swap out injured for heavily armoured?
