Olly perseveres long enough to win the match for her team! Markus wakes up later after having his wounds tended to. He is given a pouch with 160 gp and gains 1200 xp. Olly and Vertenya are awarded 400 gp and 1800 xp. They are also given the opportunity to choose a special prize!

"Take any one item. We're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tiers:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item they already poses for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, (if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection.) "You name it, we've probably got one somewhere."
A few notes regarding flying: Aarakocra are unable to fly if they are wearing medium or heavy armour. I forgot about this rule for this match, but it will be enforced in the future. Additionally, in future matches if Vertenya flies more than about 40 ft. above the battlefield, she will be considered to have abandoned the battle and forfeited. This is just to make the battles more interesting and avoid Vertenya flying off to somewhere where she can't be reached by other characters.
Also be aware that a bow is a two-handed weapon, so you can't carry a shield at the same time.

(I believe you're thinking of the Staff of the Python, a similarly named magic item that is not allowed. The Staff of the Adder, on the other hand, is more or less just a special melee weapon, so it is allowed if you would prefer it.) (Be aware that the staff of the adder, if you do choose to take it, doesn't have the finesse property, so it would require STR for attack rolls.)
(EDIT: Doesn't matter since you're not taking it anyways, but the Staff of the Adder has attunement class restrictions which Olly doesn't meet, so it would be useless to her.)

Wooden bridges cross hear and there. Untamed shrubs on the islands block sight of many areas. The river is deep, if not at a bridge, one could still swim across.
To win... 3... fight! Aggressive enemies will join the battle every three rounds. Defeat your opponents before you are overwhelmed.
The time is... 2... evening. It's getting late and the shadows grow longer. Perception checks relying on sight will have disadvantage, even with darkvision.
