Alaric, Herne, and Vos Hurry to the sounds of combat.

Gnolls and goblins attack the sheds One goblin shoots an arrow at a horse and receives a terrifying shriek. The gnoll on the roof attacks Sandow with his spear and stabs the Rogue with a two handed bayonet style attack. (OOC: 5 Pierce DAM). The shed that they had been occupying during the first ambush begins to burn.
As they get closer Alaric takes out a small device (OOC: similar to a detonator) and presses it. The back porch ignites. (Casts Create Bonfire in front of the back door to the shed). The blasts tears into one Goblin severely injuring it and wounding a Gnoll.
Vos Mutters a prayer A flash of light streaks toward one of the Gnoll archers supporting the attackers at the sheds rear door. The Gnoll is lit up and shocked by the bolt, but the Gnoll is still standing.
Herne aims his crossbow at the goblin next to the gnoll Vos hit and shoots a bolt through its head, Killing the goblin instantly.
on the roof of the shed across the road. Cursing that his spell failed yet AGAIN, Sandow draws his Rapier and dagger and prepares for the charge.
Syr Cygnus, with lance in play uses Sarang’s natural predatory ability to direct the attacks at the larger Gnolls. She strikes one, but the blow is glancing. She curses as she gives rein to Sarang so that the Hippogriff can turn and make another approach.
The gnoll on the roof attacks Sandow but the rogue strikes first. With both Rapier and Dagger Sandow attacks, the dagger is easily blocked but the Rapier hits, unfortunately, the light blade does little to the gnoll due to the tough hide armor it wears. The Gnoll strikes back with his spear. And makes a solid hit on the Rogue.
As the hippogriff and Paladin sweep up from their attack several goblins and the wounded Gnoll react, throwing javelins and shooting arrows at the Paladins mount two Javelins (OOC: one Javelin a NAT20) and an arrow hit the hippogriff causing it to fall from the sky in a screech of pain and terror. The two fall into the night and Cygnus takes only slight damage as she falls into a pile of snow. As she tumbles and rises up, she finds herself staring at the corpse of her mount. With goblin arrows and gnoll Javelins sticking out of her. In the distance through her grief, she hears cheers and war cries as the charging creatures close in on her for the kill.
The other surviving Goblins and Gnolls attacking the rear door of the shed disperse and run around the corner to the front, leaving the backdoor unbreeched.
In the shed Book maintains concentration on Bless--manifesting as directing Alaric's men on where to aim their crossbows and general uplifting morale. But no attack comes, though Vernon, looking through the broken window, yells to Book that the Hippogriff has been struck and has fallen from the sky.
Alaric moves closer, draws his pistol, and shoots at one of the burning Gnolls, but misses. He reaches the door clearing the area of Gnolls and Goblins. He yells to Vor and Herne “We need to mind the horses in case they try to kill them!”
Nodding to Alaric. Vos raises his arm and speaks his deities name and a stream of Sacred Flame erupts striking one of the fleeing Goblins.
Herne is at Vor’s side in an instant and buoyed by taking out one of the combatants with his first shot, Herne targets the same fleeing Goblin as Vor and unleashes another crossbow bolt. It strikes the Goblin with full force in the back, throwing it forward. Dead in the snow.
At the front of the building near the road, In a mixture of grief, rage, and cold deadliness Syr casts Cast Shield of Faith, and charges the group of Gnolls and Goblins attacking her. She lays into them with her morningstar, casting Divine Smitewhen she hits a Gnoll full force, killing it instantly.
On the shed rooftop, Sandow and the Gnoll face off. Stab, parry, lunge, block. Sandow backs to the edges of the shed and suddenly to the Gnolls confusion Sandow sheaths his weapons in a flourish and holds his arms outspread and body straight, he flips off the edge. The gnoll cautiously approaches the edge and sees that the rogue had landed in a snow bank and is dodging and weaving into the night.
The Gnolls that were at the back of the shed run in between the buildings to avoid bolts and bullets raining on them. They run to the front of the shed to join the Goblin Commander and his troops fighting a small human woman in shining armor. Meanwhile the Goblin leader and his troops are failing miserably at striking the human woman with their scimitars as she bobs and weaves around them in a battle dance.
In the aforementioned shed, Book can witness only bits and shadows of the battle as the wagon and horses block his vision. The Mage will swear and look out the windows for any targets. Suddenly he hears the Nobleman’s voice at the back door calling for his attendants.
Alaric moves near the dead bodies of the two goblins and takes cover behind the corner of the building. He shoots at the back of a Gnoll. His shot hits and wings the Gnoll Afterwards, He'll yell out to those in the building that the back is all clear and they should come out through the back so we can prepare to go on the offensive.
Vos tries his Sacred Flame spell one more time but misses. He his grumble sounds like stone grinding as he grips his spear.
Herne joins Alaric and Vos and looses a bolt at the same Gnoll. Herne’s bolt fails to injure the Gnoll.
Syr Cygnus Invokes a Vow of Enmity against the Goblin Commander she is facing. But the cagey Goblin Commander avoids the bloody morningstar with the skill of a longtime campaigner.
Sandow hides in the shadows and takes stock of the situation. The shed that he originally used in the earlier ambush is aflame. The wagon is surrounded by Goblins and Gnolls. Alaric and his men are in the other shed holding of the bad guys with pistols and crossbows. The Hippogriff has been shot out of the sky and the Paladin girl is on foot taking on a mob of Goblins and Gnolls by herself. He can see the Gnoll he was fighting taking up Sandow’s original snipers’ position and firing at the Paladin.
Sandow’s former opponent takes a shot at Syr and misses.
The Goblins that Syr faces attack her viciously with scimitar strikes and arrows, most of the attacks fall away harmlessly however, several strike and cause serious damage to the young Warrior.
The Gnolls that were originally attacking the back of the shed now bark in joy at the chance to kill and consume a tender limbed female AND her flying mount. They attack with their huge razor-sharp spears. But they cannot penetrate the Paladin’s protections.
Book opens the backdoor, and tells Alaric's men, "Quick, to your master!" Then tell the halflings, "Stay behind me." He will then leave the shed to stand with Alaric. If there's a Gnoll or Goblin visible he'll Toll the Dead on them.
Alaric’s men run out and turn the corner where they spot a Goblin shooting his bow at some unknown opponent. Vernon kills him with a shot of his crossbow.
Book exits and turns the opposite corner and finds Herne, Vos, and Alaric preparing a charge attack. Moxie and Pepsi, the two Hobbits with Book lift a pair of scimitars from the dead Goblins in the slushy dirt and join Book nervously.
Alaric dons the shield he made for Belthran and with his pistol in the other hand, he rallies his comrades behind him and shouts "to the wagon!" as he charges forward. He moves around the front of the wagon and shoots the first Gnoll killing it as blood and gore explode from the creature’s chest!
Asvala Vor takes up his war cry and casts guiding bolt over the heads of their adversaries as he charges for them.
Reloading his crossbow again, with a muttered curse about the last bolt being wasted, Herne hurries after them to the wagon. he soon finds himself with a clear shot to the Gnoll he missed before. He takes the shot and hits but barely wings his quarry.
The Paladin continues her relentless attack on the Goblin commander and is rewarded with the sound of crushed bone as her morningstar strikes him.
Sandow casts sleep at the largest grouping of goblins on Syr. This time the spell successfully drops a Gnoll and two Goblin, one of them the commander, all drop off to sleep.
The last surviving Goblin dives under the wagon and pops out the other end using nimble escape.
The goblin runs off, right into the arms of Book and his companions Moxie and Pepsi. The Goblin raises its scimitar but before he can attack Book raise his hand and the Goblin is assailed by a Psychic attack of bells in its head. The goblin drops dead at the Mage feet. Moxie is wide eyes staring from the dead goblin to the mage and back again. Pepsi lets out a long low whistle and whispers “Shitballs.”
A moment later Sandow hears a commotion on the roof he just left and spots the gnoll running in retreat under cover of the night.
Spinning around, Syr Cygnus runs to Sarang. If She is still alive, she will Lay on Hands for 10ht pts. Then she will see to anyone else who might be injured.

Alaric will hurry over and disarm the sleeping enemies. He'll then take out rope from his bag and order vernon and billie to come help him tie them up. "Keep your crossbow up Vernon and if it dares attack me you put a bolt through it's skull".
As Alaric is tying them up he'll say "They've captured Belthran, but now we've got some leverage over them as well with these ones. Maybe they can help us get into the mines and warn us about anymore surprises that dwell in them"
Book will check on the halflings now that Alaric has reclaimed his servants, staying near the horses and wagon. "Are you both alright? I don't believe we properly met. I am Valdis Winterflame, but most simply call me 'Book.'" While he is truly interested in their wellbeing, he is also aware that more goblins and gnolls could be returning at any time.
