This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Thank you, Eerie." he says, clutching his regrown flesh. "Let's follow them. We cannot let them escape." Ertix will then follow their tracks by performing a Survival check, which he has advantage on because orcs are one of his Favored Enemies, and his proficiency bonus is doubled for his survival check because the forest is his Favored Terrain. He will also try to make a Nature check to try to remember knowledge about orc mages, and the same affects apply to this check as the survival check.
Full explanation of both features:
Favored Enemy: You have advantage on Survival checks to track your favored enemies, as well as on INT checks to recall information about them. You also learn one language of your choice that is spoken by your favored enemies, if they speak one at all.
Favored Terrain: You have a favored terrain type. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for proficient skills when you make an INT or WIS check related to it. While traveling for an hour or more in your chosen terrain, difficult terrain doesn’t slow your group’s travel, your group can’t become lost except by magical means, you remain alert to danger even when you are engaged in another activity, you can move stealthily at a normal pace (while alone), you find twice as much food while foraging, and while tracking creatures, you learn the exact number, sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.
survival result: he knows the general direction of where they went, but easily deduces that it would be a DC 35 check to catch up with them within the next decade
nature result: this ain't natural

Zakon winces as Eerie helps bandage his wound, then smiles at her. "Thank you, lass," he says. "Looks like we need to be more alert," he says with a grimace. "Won't do any good if we're dead before we get there."
"They didn't act like typical orcs, maybe they weren't. What if it was like an illusion? Not the illusions I can do but like that?" She asks as she ponders the unusual behavior of the orcs.
"Never met an illusion that could bleed me before, lass," says Zakon. "In any case, if they are that fast and deadly, perhaps we should aim for smaller prey?"
