Kraven relays back to the others to not move at all, and hopefully this creature will not be able to detect any of the ripples either. Mentally speaking to the three, "OK huge frog like creature in room right of entrance, shimmering green portals along walls. Do we attack or look elsewhere for the stone, don't see it in the room. Quietly let Jecob know what is going on. Suggestions?"
Then Kraven will relay message back and forth between the groups.
Kraven mentally agrees and moves back from the toad creature to another hallway and then slowly makes his way down to another tunnel away from the creature to see where this new tunnel might lead, somewhat thankful he does not have to worry about any wayward stick to accidentally step on.
In this room trophies of the demonic aboleth are cruelly mounted on the walls of this crowded chamber, with dead couatl prominently displayed in the center. The stuffed couatl appears to be in poor condition.
Kraven pauses in the corner of the tunnel and relays back to the others.
"Two more tunnels this way and one tunnel that leads back to beginning. I move forward and the lot of you go back to beginning and then take the right hand tunnel and we meet in middle. Hopefully that way we avoid alerting toad thing. Sound good?"
He will wait till he gets a response and then will another few moments to see if Toad creature moves toward the group and then will meet the group between the two new tunnels.
[OOC: moving marker to where I will meet them and my roils for moving as well.]
(Assume the Jecob is obediently following orders, unless there is a reason not to.)

Kraven flinches as the eels shoot out of the wall, one of them latching onto his feathered arm. He quickly flaps his arm up and down to dislodge the eel and then will disengage from them moving toward the rest of the group and will spin around and throw one of his psychic daggers at the Red one. Mentally warning the others of the attacking eels.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jecob was further back (from the Roll20 map) to avoid making noise with his armor, but seeing Mist leap into action alerts him that something is wrong.
Swimming forward, he will bash at the closest swarm of eels. (All rolls in Game Log. The first strike was a critical, so I've added a Divine Smite with a 1st level spell slot. If first attack is enough to destroy that batch of eels, then he will try to shift his second attack to the other swarm of eels.)

Varlan takes an involuntary step back. "Let's explore elsewhere first. Once we have exhausted our other options..."
He looks around to see if the others agree, ready to follow Kraven once more, whether he presses on or returns to the room.
“There’s a passage to the west… perhaps we look further.” Kuatho peers that way, looking for an area to rest and recover..
