Sillvva, I purchased the books, and play D&D with friends locally. I don't follow social media for anyone or anything. I don't have the time, or the desire. So, while it may have been plastered everywhere on the Internet, it is still news to me.
If it is still in homebrew content, then why are they not available when Homebrew Content is selected in the Home tab of character creation? Shoot, I have turned on all of those settings, and still those races from WGtE are not available.
Thank you for your help!
It was also mentioned on the purchase page on both DM's Guild and D&D Beyond.
So is the official stance of DDB "too bad read the fine print" and that we should be aware that there will be shitty deals here and be careful about the content. Is the official stance that we cannot trust that we will be able to keep what we purchase and at any moment our money can suddenly have been spent on something wasteful and obsolete? Because that was my initial hesitation in purchasing my game materials on digital format from here and if that is the official stance then I will cease making any purchases on this site now knowing that I am gambling on whether the money will be worth it.
Hello!
If you take a look at the Marketplace page for Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, you can find that there has been no attempt to conceal any information in fine print. This document was always intended to be updated as the information it contained received feedback, and WOTC made determinations to change things. You will also find that the PDF version of Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron provided on the DM's Guild will be subject to similar changes.
Wizards of the Coast provided the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron as a new experiment in developing content, and lessons have been learned.
D&D Beyond, as the official toolset, consistently maintains the latest version of all official game rules and mechanics. In this case, WotC does not want outdated/abandoned rules available on our platform. Rest assured, if you already own content from Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, you receive the new version for free. If you are still unsatisfied, feel free to contact our support team to request a refund for WGtE - we are committed to doing right by our customers.
Also worth mentioning, if you do not have access to the item normally (because its in a source you do not own), you can't add that specific item to your sheet. So the missing items may be because you don't have access to those items. Alchemy Jug, for instance, is a DMG item.
Not sure about if it is a bug or just not setup properly. The Battle Smith Steel Companion has a few issues.
1. It's not showing up in the character sheet (Extras) section for the search bar when I select Battle Smith Defender when I search "defender" or "steel," however it did show up if I scrolled down manually to whetter it was with the CR filter lowered.
Quick question that may help some of your other queries:
When adding the companion, did you select the "Battle Smith Defender" category? Both of the options (Steel Defender, Improved Steel Defender) are currently appearing for me there, with a Level 3 battle smith.
Also having issues with being redirected to the marketplace to rebuy Eberron, even though I preordered with the bundle a week ago. Tried clearing cache, settings, etc and no luck yet.

Hello Doccinco8! No bundles offer preorder content. Did you purchase the preorder for Eberron as a separate cart item from your bundle?

So then there is no fine print that content will be repeated in future purchases that you then have to pay full price for despite most of the content being officially identical....so even worse than I thought.
Essentially they charged us to playtest for them and then asked us to pay for the finished product if we want access to the additional lore content of the new update....
So according to this picture almost half the content in Rise was already purchased by me in Wayfinders...and yet I didn't get even a 1% discount on it for rebuying the same content...hmmm....maybe I should brush up my deceptive trade practice manuel and look into that practice area.
Are we suppose to be able to pick the same stat as the mark gives us as a Racial Bonus as Humans?
For example, Mark of Making gives me a +2 to Intelligence and "+1 to one other ability score" But i can select Intelligence as my stat for a +3 bonus, is this intentional or a bug?
Certain items from the replicate magic item infusion are supposed to require attunement, but you cannot attune to them after infusing them. Examples: cloak of elvenkind and eyes of charming.

Hello! Currently the builder will not remove Intelligence (or in the case of some of the other races, other ability scores) for the second choice, however this is not intended. This will hopefully be addressed at a later time-- but rest assured it's on the list!

The "Deflect Attack" Reaction for [Tooltip Not Found] and [Tooltip Not Found] is only referenced in the Stat Blocks of these creatures. The "Extras" section of character sheets currently does not include reactions I'm the abbreviated stat blocks. This results in the feature being omitted from the character sheet.
I understand that in the original source that there is no reference to the reaction in the description and that the Steel Defender description came straight from the text, but this seems like a very important feature of the class that can't be seem from the character sheets.
The expected behavior is that any monster in the "Extras" section of the character sheet would have their reactions text displayed after their actions text.
A workaround I have found is to include the a "Reactions" header in the "Actions" section of a Homebrew copy of these monsters and supply the information there. This results in the information being duplicated on the stats page, but appearing once in the extras section.
The list of spells on the dragonmarked races spell lists are not added to the spell list for my chosen class
It was mentioned in the opening post that this is a known issue. The Spells of the Mark feature requires some additional development and will be available soon.

I am having a problem with Battle Ready not working for magic items created through infusions (e.g. Repeating Shot, Returning Weapon). It seems to be working fine with regular +1 Weapons now. I specifically went to this thread to see if it is a problem for anybody besides me. Looks like it is the case.
Weapons with infusions on them now correctly count as magic items for the purposes of Battle Ready. 😀
Awesome! Checked it out and it is working as expected. Thanks so much!

Current bugs I've found:
1. The repeating shot infusion doesn't work on firearms. I don't know if this is intentional or just an oversight
2. The steel defender hp correctly updates hp on the character sheet, but the statblock incorrectly states 3d8 hp

By all means, feel free to keep it like that :P +3 at level 1 sounds nice lol
But okay, thank you for the quick clarification
