is a name for the downdrafts followed by updrafts that makes up the great eye‘s edge it’s known for giving pilots difficulty as they tend to oversteer and be sent to the highest reaches of sky or understeer and be shattered upon the ground.
It was named after Ave Wingfast who managed to study the system and more importantly survive it
Equlabar was a major hot spot for budding spirit binders during the apoclypse however, the spirits were vicious to the towns folk tearing the city to shreds.A powerful spirit binder (the target for the hit job) pushed the spirits out with a group of winter spirits.A few minor spirit binders still live there in a land frozen in place with only a single type of spirit.

On the western coast of the continent, mostly on the far side of the Storm’s Eye, solitary aarakocra families live in well-hidden nests, having been well-adapted for the coastal environment, feeding on fish and only coming into contact with other humanoids very rarely. These aarakocra are also referred to as seadwellers.
They were always there, and they were not changed, other than the fact that they adapted to the climate over many years. They received word of the Great End from augurs and weathered the Great End by hiding in coastal caves.
Vesania Is a town north of Dobyne. It’s a port town that supports trade between Nickelbrook and Sand’s respite. It’s a fairly sleepy town with the spirits nearby being unusually calm but those passing through say there’s something off about the inhabitants. The stories change depending on the traveler but they always smell of fish.
another strange thing about the town is that those who stay there have nightmares constantly. They always dream of a lab in which some experiment is being done on them. Some even claim they awoke with scars that weren’t there when they fell asleep.
and woe to anyone who stays during hallows eve for they shall’t leave the town. They become strange as the towns folk or are never heard from again.
despite it’s oddities it’s uses as a port near sands respite has kept the town as an important trading stop

Ok
just remember that this world is taking place after an apocalypse. Towns shouldn’t be very common, and we now have a handful.

My main qualm with this is that Ann Arbor is a real city in the United States, and a large enough one that I, someone who doesn't live in that area, recognized the name at that. I quite like the added prominence of aberrant spirits, just change the name to something more unique.
After some carefull deliberation (and some help from miles) I have decided not to add positive and negative energy planes.Instead similar places may occur within pockets on the planes of winter and summer.
Some midly retroactive worldbuilding involving the rimdaka desert.
The rimdaka desert receives much more rain than one might expect of a desert,However, because the black sands of the desert are always incredibly hot, this water quickly boils away. This means there are small number of plants here. All this greenery is highly resistant to heat,in order to avoid burning and losing water,so locals make heat resistant clothes out of leaves. This also means that the air is somewhat humid here, which makes sweating a much more serious issue (expends more water and cools you down way less) but makes it so the air can trap more heat during the night.Because of arid desert terrain (which does not hold water all too well) and the lack of stupid hot sand to boil it away, the city of sands respite is frequently flooded.

Building on this, Sand’s Respite now has canals through which water flows. When the city isn’t flooded, visitors often have no idea what the canals are for. The most common response to such a question is a knowing smile or “Just wait.”
With in the caverns of obsidian delve their lies the rumors that a sword of power lies hidden. Known as Luida the rock blade it can cleave through stone like butter and shake the earth with it’s strikes. However the sword is worshipped by the stoneborn and they may not take kindly to strangers taking, however if the sword is won in some way then the stoneborn shall be powerful allies

Were the Seadwellers always there? Were they changed like the stoneborn? How did they live before the calamity effect them?
