Is there any way to hide the items and spells you create for a campaign? multiple times now, the members of my campaign (not knowing all the spells in game) have selected content I've created in anticipation for upcoming events and i don't know how to prevent this from happening in the future. any advice would be appreciated!
i assume you mean on the D&D Beyond homebrew content creator.
i am not sure how you can hide it in the settings. what i can advise is not add it onto D&D beyond until they are introduced to it. have it written on paper or an excell sheet.
You can remove it from your homebrew collection but you have to add it back to the collection when you're ready for it to be in available in the character sheet.
Thanks for the ideas! I think as far as spells I’ll make them only available for certain classes that aren’t currently in the game. As far as items I’ll have to wait to add them.
Did this ever get updated? I have homebrew stuff that players keep using but if I remove them from my collection, I can't use them on my own characters for separate campaigns.

Keep them out of your collection. Add them to your collection, update your characters, remove them from your collection again.
Ok, so I'm guessing that when you update your character, it stays on its character sheet and then removing it again just removes it from the list of stuff to choose from. Makes sense. Thanks!
