I'm trying to make a ring with Vampiric Touch, Spirit Shroud, and Ray of Enfeeblement, each of which can only be used 1 time per day. So far, my best solution is to make a ring with three charges, and have each spell use a charge, but this doesn't record the specific spell as being depleted (so it may be possible to forget and use Vampiric Touch three times, for instance). Is there a better way? (Apologies if this question is in the wrong folder)
Public Mod Note
(GPyromania):
Moved from Bugs & Support to Homebrew & House Rules.
It is not currently possible to do that. Magic items aren’t designed like that, they are designed to have a pool of charges to be used for all spells. To even replicate what you want we have to wait until they have finished adding Actions to Magic items.
For a character with an Instrument of the Bards I jury-rigged something with a feat to provide the necessary spells. Unfortunately magic items don't have a way to grant a homebrew feat in themselves, so I had to just add the feat to her character, but that way she had proper USE buttons on the 1/day spells.
