The purpose of this thread is to spread a little bit of fun in the form of a competition! Your task: Create an item of homebrew (see below) that is totally original and makes us go "wow"! The end products will be rated by members of the community, and the victors will create the next Finest Brew contest! The previous contest (linked here) was judged by Yamana_Eajii and contained a multitude of spectacular entries, so I suggest you check it out if you haven't already. Now, onto the important stuff!
Timeframe:
Contest entries must be submitted before midnight August 20th. Voting will start August 21st and will end September 1st.
Contest Categories:
In each Finest Brew contest, there are three categories. These are so that people with skill in creating, say, monsters, don't end up stuck having to make dungeons. Each category is judged separately, and the winners of each category will then be pitted against each other to determine the overall winner. There can only be one entrance per category per account, so we suggest you
create a trillion dnd Beyond accounts for this competitionbribe the contest's judgemake sure you're submitting your best work. The category types are as follows:This time, our Categories are:
DM Options: Aerial Realms. Make something that has to do with air or the sky. Bonus points if you fit the word "cumulonimbus" in somewhere (but seriously, you won't get bonus points for this).
PC Options: Rot and Decay. Make something themed around erosion, blight, or sickness.
Inspirational Options: The Gritty City. Make something themed around a dark and troubled city- an environment perfect for a group of soon-to-be heroes.
Voting:
Voting will start on August 21st and will end on September 1st. A poll for each category will be posted on this thread, and all may vote on it - including contestants.
Contestants:
Contestants will be posted here, as well as their submissions and their categories.

Can't wait!
I'm still putting cumulonimbus somewhere.
I was planning on making a necromancy sorcerous origin at some point, and this will give me the motivation I desperately need to make any homebrew that I never seem to have.
I've got nothing. Maybe I'll make some sort of character build?
This isn't actually a signature, just something I copy and paste onto the bottom of all my posts. Or is it? Yep, it is. Or is it..? I’m a hobbit, and the master cranial imploder of the "Oops, I Accidently Destroyed Someone's Brain" cult. Extended sig. I'm actually in Limbo, it says I'm in Mechanus because that's where I get my WiFi from. Please don't tell the modrons, they're still angry from the 'Spawning Stone' fiasco.
No connection to Dragonslayer8 other than knowing them in real life.
Ill be participating in 2/3! Everyone prepare to see my trash!!
Enethia is running a library, Kalnor is with one of his friends(Likely Mithris), Mali is making an elixir, Asari is sad, Ink is dying in Kalnoia, Nox is dead, Zal is eating cheese fries, Tefeerinn is experiencing fuller life, Shardia is watching the safehouse, Mabij is prepping for a trial, Hrakor is running from prophesy, Viperitahk is locked in a strange battle, Void is watching, Redd is writing all of these. See the EXTENSION for the rest
As long as you fix up your homebrew's formatting a bit, it will be awesome. Trust me, your homebrew is really cool.

Itll all be new stuff. The stuff ive shown you is old, which is why the formatting sucked
Ok, I have my ideas, and im going to put them here so no one steals them
DM options: Magic item that has changing effects depending on the weather, and (maybe) time of day
Player options: Paladin subclass based around using smite radiation to cause decay. Details to come

I did not participate in the previous contest but may submit something for this one
Do we post our submissions here or send them to someone in a PM? Do we need to build them using D&D beyond tools or can we just post a text version of things we make as a thread comment?

All submissions should be on this thread, otherwise people can't vote for them. Any format is fine- whichever you're more comfortable with.

Here's my PC option submission! Hope you all enjoy it!
Spore Blight
4th-level necromancy
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: self (15 ft. cone)
Components: V, S, M*
Duration: 7 days
Class: Druid
You raise your hand, sending a flood of blight. All creatures in a 15 foot cone emanating from you must make a constitution saving throw, taking 3d8 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. A creature who fails the save is also infected with spore blight for the duration or until they are cured of it.
A creature with spore blight gains vulnerability to poison damage. Additionally, at the end of each hour, a creature with spore blight must make a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. A creature takes 1d6 poison damage and is poisoned for an hour on a failed save. Once a creature infected with spore blight succeeds the saving throw 5 times, they are cured of spore blight.
A creature killed by spore blight becomes a violet fungus under your control for the duration. It is an ally to you and your companions. In combat, it shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its move to avoid danger.
You can never have more violet fungi under your control than a number equal to twice your spellcasting ability modifier.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 6th level spell slot, the duration becomes until dispelled.
* - (A decaying log or other similar sign of decay. )

Here's my City Inspirational Option (it's pretty weird):
Competition of the Finest Brews: The Tavernkeeper's Random Table
"You start in a tavern" - this line is iconic and describes to a surprising degree the nature of D&D in just a single abstract line.
However, what does it refer to? What do you meet in the tavern? Is the innkeeper a gruff ex-adventurer who's retired, or a black-hearted mage that is more interested in seeing people get pummeled in the secret pit matches the tavern holds one a week? Are the patrons respectable and wealthy, or rough and messy? Does the tavern have any quirks, like a "Special Drink" or the fact that it's built into a scrapped ship? And, of course, what on earth is the tavern actually called?
This series of random roll tables are here to inspire, add depth to, and make taverns worthy of player notice. This table can also be repurposed in parts to help customize stores and other gatherings of people, where sometimes things can get a bit random.
Tavern Names
The first - and sometimes, most important - part of making a tavern or inn is getting a good name for it. No-one wants to drink at the "Baby's Big Bottom Bar", and names like the "Creaky Duck" can add a character to an inn. When making a tavern, you may roll on or choose an option from the tables below.
Roll for each part of the name separately. If you roll for a Secondary Name, you don't have to roll for a description, and vice-versa. You may need to roll multiple times on this table.
In addition, certain types of tavern have certain types of names. You're not going to find an inn called "Rusty Pete's Head" in the wealthy district of town, and you're most likely going to find pirates and sailors in "Cut-throat Dragon's Bay". Find a name that suits your tavern! The table is simply suggestions.
Tavern Names
Tavern Quirks
All taverns need a good quirk to make them stand out from the crowd. When making a tavern, you may roll on or choose an option from the table below.
Tavern Quirks
Proprietors and Customers
This random roll table does double duty, acting as both a random roll table for customers and tavern keepers. When relevant, you may roll on or choose an option from the table below. You may need to roll multiple times on this table. If you wish to forgo rolling as much as possibly but still must use the table, use the commoner stat block and only roll for Personality and First Names.
Proprietors and Customers
How's that for a random roll table? I should have more options later maybe. I also have not included random genders for proprietors and customers as the spectrum is so diverse I wouldn't know where to start.

Air Form. The air dreadnaught can enter a hostile creature's space and stop there. It can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Invisible in Air. The air dreadnaught is invisible while fully immersed in clear air. Thrown powders, liquids, and clouds can reveal the presence of an air dreadnaught.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the air dreadnaught fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Weapons. An air dreadnaught's attacks are magical.
Multiattack. The air dreadnaught can use its charged presence. It then makes two attacks: one with its nebula form and one with its aether claws.
Aether Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 54 (9d10 + 8) bludgeoning damage.
Nebula Form. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 50 (7d12 + 8) force damage. In addition, if the target is Large or smaller, it must make a DC 21 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it is restrained by the air dreadnaught until the start of the dreadnaught's next turn.
Charged Presence. Each creature of the air dreadnaught's choice that is within 60 feet of the air dreadnaught and aware of it must succeed on a DC 19 Charisma saving throw, taking 90 (9d20) psychic damage and becoming charmed by it for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the air dreadnaught's Charged Presence for the next 24 hours.
While a creature that is charmed by the air dreadnaught is within 120 feet of the air dreadnaught, the dreadnaught may use its bonus action on its turn to command the creature to move up to its speed and make an attack against another creature the air dreadnaught can see.
The dreadnaught can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dreadnaught regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect. The dreadnaught makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Glide. The dreadnaught flies a distance up to half its speed. This movement ignores opportunity attacks. Creatures in the dreadnaught's space when it moves must make a DC 21 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.
Aether Strike (Costs 2 Actions). The dreadnaught makes an aether claws attack.
Description
Air Dreadnaughts are the true unstoppable furies of elemental air. Swooping through pillars of cumulonimbus, it is the most fearsome predator that many will ever face - and quite possibly, the last one.

Bag of Mighty Gales
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)
This small leather bag hold inside it might gales. It has 4 charges. As an action a creature attuned to it can expend a charge to let the winds loose. When they do this, a massive gale force winds blasts out of the bag in a 80 foot line that is 5 feet wide, emanating from the creature. All creatures in the line must succeed a DC 14 strength saving throw or be pushed back 20 feet. A creature who fails the save by 5 or more is knocked prone.
As an action a creature attuned to it can turn the bag inside out or right-side-out. While inside out, the wind cannot be let loose. Additionally, it regains a charge every 2 hours while inside out.
