You cannot even make them like a “half caster” like Paladins & Rangers, you can only make them “one third casters” like the Eldritch Knight.
...So yet again, this site is being stupid then? Because there is an option that says "level" or "half-level" on classes under "Spell Prepare Type" on the "Basic Information". Apparently they do nothing? Because I was going to make a subclass Paladin that has "full caster" levels instead of half. It specifically asks if the class uses a full table of a half table in the tooltip. So... just more broken crap then?
Those do something on the Class form, which we don’t have access to. The subclass form is just a copy of the class form I believe, so it has those dropdowns, they’re just not connected to anything on the backend.
Then I'm going to ask a question that seems like it's stupid, but based on how ridiculous this site is, it's suddenly viable.
Would changing the html code for the spellcasting table be able to make it where you have a half-caster or full-caster instead? I presume the answer is no, since you only provided the 1/3 caster table html code... but I'd rather be sure.
This will give your subclass the exact same progression of spell slots and spells known as the Eldritch Knight unless you are a Rogue. If you are a Rogue you will get a progression identical to the Arcane Trickster, the difference being an additional known cantrip at 3rd level. There is unfortunately no way to alter these progressions.
Here is the html code for the Spellcasting table for a ⅓ spellcaster:
*Note!! Adding this table alone will not add Spellcasting to your subclass, for that please follow the instructions in post #1 of this thread.
*Note!! Editing this table will not change the spell progression for your subclass, there is no possible way to do that.
*Note!! If your subclass is for the Rogue class you will need to increase the numbers in the Cantrips Known column by 1 at every level.
You have to click this button to view the html source code for the Description field for the Spellcasting feature you added to your subclass:
You need to copy/paste the following code into there, then hit [OK] and the popup will disappear and you can then see it as a table.
I am not talking about two words. I am talking about "Spellcasting ". Note the space after the g. If that space is in the name of the feature, it doesn't work.

Question: Following up on your response to ViakenXenot; adding the "Spellcasting" feature to a subclass is dependent on matching the title exactly. Does this mean adding a feature to a subclass with the exact same name as a regular feature can overwrite that regular feature? For instance, would adding a subclass feature called "Rage" to a Barbarian subclass that was a copy of the effects of Sneak Attack give a Barbarian the ability to Sneak Attack instead of Rage-ing?

Funny you should ask that. Yes, in fact it should. For example, if you add a feature named Font of Magic to a sorcerer subclass and program it to run exactly the same except with more sorcery points, it works. Same with Ki for monks.
That’s why the Features & Traits section only shows the most recent selections for rogues’ Expertise feature after 6th level instead of listing both the 1st & 6th level choices. Both the choices from 1st & 6th level still show on the Skills section, so it really doesn’t matter, but the newer one automatically supplants the old one under Features & Traits because they both have the same name. Same should work for Rage or really any other class or subclass feature.

Lol, pretty sure I read that at some point a few days ago and then forgot. Ah well. Thanks for answering regardless, as usual.
As usual, happy to help.

I don't understand where to put the code you have in "Additional Notes".

Thank you! Never used that feature before, I would've never thought to look there.
Second Question: Would you use a similar process to add Pact Magic slots? Or are we limited to standard spell slots?

Fun thing, it’s still bugged so that if there is a space in the feature title after "spellcasting" the feature won’t work.

That’s not a bug, it’s because the official name for the feature is “Spellcasting,” not “Spell Casting.”

Oh, that’s because, if you were to actually look at it in html, it would look like this: Spellcasting

Is there a source code for a full caster that is originally a melee class such as monk?
No. it would be easier to add all the monk stuff to a caster.
