Let me know if you figure out how to build this out for a 2024 class, the code you have and copying the text from the 1/3 caster tables didn't work
I'm having the same issue. It only adds a pick list for cantrips (under add spells) but no ability to learn a cantrip and it shows nothing of first level spells or spell slots
Can you please share screenshots of how you set up your subclass?
subclass creation screenshots above here is what I see in the character sheet
Yeah, I just tested it on an R5e monk subclass myself and got the same results. Since it used to work for monks (and barbarians), that means this was intentional on DDB’s part. Either they intentionally removed monk and barbarian from the list, or intentionally neglected to add the R5e versions of those classes to the list. Either way, I suspect that such subclasses will be impossible to create on DDB moving forward unless/until WotC releases subclasses for those classes that use this mechanic.
You said it's possible to replace class features but I'm having trouble getting it to work, you said I just have to name it the same thing at the same level?

Well that's a good way to stifle homebrewing possibilities...

The glitch that allowed that to happen may have been fixed with this recent update.
I just added the spells I was using individually. For some reason it doesn't have all of them available for selection but I renamed other ones when I had to. Since the class gives you spell slots it's a decent workaround.

In the homebrew setup as part of the spellcasting feature I added each spell I would've selected through traditional means. Since the feature still gives you usable spell slots (albeit too many) it's a decent workaround. Only issue is for some reason not all of the PHB 2024 spells are available for selection there, so I had to pick spells of the same level and rename them.
That's a real bummer since my friend bought the Drakkenheim content on Beyond and gave us the option to use the third party subclasses. I can't even play the Arcane Hand subclass after attempting to create a new homebrew that's compatible with the 2024 character builds.

Well, you can, you’d just have to use the 2014 version of the monk.

Unfortunately that doesn't help since I'm trying to update the build it with the 2024 rules.

Since it was not written for the 5e’24 monk, only the 5e’14 monk, is no go. 🤷‍♂️ Sucks, I feel ya.
so hopefully that will help get attention to this issue
EDIT TO ADD: I also submitted a support ticket
If it is a “bug,” it may very well be working exactly as they intended.
I got a reply from support... they closed my ticket saying:

Yeah, I kinda figured that’s what they’d say. I’m just frankly surprised they responded this quickly, didn’t expect that for at least another week.
Putting limitations on homebrew like this is incredibly frustrating. It really goes against the spirit of "do what you want and have fun". If this isn't a bug I'm seriously considering dropping the platform all-together. Not for this one feature but for the fact that it is very telling of WotC's vision of absolute control over the game. Not something I want to support.
It looks like this may have been updated with the 2024 updates so I just want to confirm - the spell prepare type and know all spells box are supposed to be blank? Make no selections there?

My thanks to all those that tested and confirmed my findings. Hopefully WoTC will get around to fixing this sooner rather then later

as to work around for the Arcane hand monk. I made a second character sheet using arcane trickster that just tracks my spells
