I've managed to create custom magic items that can increase a character's ability score above 20, but for whatever reason, the same thing that worked for the magic item just isn't working for the feat. This is made even more frustrating because this prevents me from even trying to figure out how to make a feat with the option to select one of two ability score improvements. My current specific example is trying to make the Champion of Deception feature from Mythic Odysseys of Theros. When I do everything the way that I would expect it to work, the feat ONLY allows me to pick the dexterity option. The charisma option isn't even available and I think that's because my character in question has a charisma score of 20.
For reference this is the description for the feature I'm trying to create:
Piety 50+ Phenax trait
You can increase your Dexterity or Charisma score by 2 and also increase your maximum for that score by 2.
Tried that already, to no avail. Also, that wouldn't allow the choice between either Dexterity or Charisma. It would only work for one or both but not as a choice.
You need to add a second modifier to increase the ability score maximum. I'd suggest copying an existing item that does the same and see how that does it
You'll need to make 2 different versions of the feat: one for Dexterity, one for Charisma. (It's a limitation in how DDB implements Options in feats, which is why, for example, Fey Touched is 3 separate feats for each spellcasting ability score.)
Once you've made changes, click [Save Changes] on the main edit page of your homebrew. Changes to homebrew can take up to 20 minutes to percolate to character sheets. With Feats, you may also need to Delete the feat from Manage Feats on the character sheet and then re-Add it for the changes to show.

I was really hoping to not need to break a single feat into two, but looks like I have no choice. 😕 Thanks.
Man, I really feel like DnD Beyond should hire the guy who programs Prism app for iOS. Honestly, a meld between the two similar yet different design types would be amazing.
I tried this for Charisma to no avail. I've tried both what you've suggested and the same ability score max with bonus to charisma score instead of "stacking bonus."
It seems no combination works here leaving me to think that DnD Beyond is actually broken somehow. Something about how they have the code setup for stat increases seems to differ between magic items and feats... Is there any way to get this to the devs?

Wait... are you saying that the Dexterity worked but not Charisma? Or that neither of them work?
I ask because I specifically did my own test with a homebrew feat for Dexterity. Which worked.

I know for a fact that they work.
After you add anything to, change anything on, or remove anything from any homebrew you MUST re-save the entire thing using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system won’t pick up your changes automatically. After that it can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for those changes to push through to the character builder/sheet.
I guess there's a bigger delay with homebrew feats loading fully to character sheets than there is for magic items. Every time I'd test magic items, I'd just save the items, refresh the character page, delete the item and re-add it, and it would work without delay. I'm surprised this isn't the case with feats, or did I just somehow get unusually lucky with the magic items? Weird...
Thanks for the help.

Use the modifier Stacking Bonus - {ability} Score instead of Bonus - {ability} Score

Tried that already. Works with my homebrew magic item but not with homebrew feats.

For the Dexterity feat, use these 2 modifiers:

I didn't try dex, but no combinations for charisma allowed the stat score to increase of two beyond the max of 20, reaching 22.
