I am trying to create a feat that is similar to unarmored defense, but grows naturally with a character as opposed to being tied to 2 separate ability scores. In short, I would like a feat that sets Armor Class = 10 + dexterity modifier + proficiency bonus. I believe standard rules already cover the first part, so I just need a means of adding the proficiency bonus to AC.
However, I am struggling to figure out if this is doable via the homebrew tools. Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated!
No, this is not currently doable with the Homebrew Tools.
You can use a Flat Number or Ability Scores to set an Unarmored AC base, but Proficiency Bonus is not selectable. This extends to most things in the Homebrew Tools, setting Uses is the only exception to this that I've seen, and even then, not in all areas.

After you add anything to, change anything on, or remove anything from any homebrew you MUST re-save the entire thing using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system won’t pick up your changes automatically. After that it can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for those changes to push through to your character builder/sheet.
I saw this, but the tooltip was throwing me off. It reads "applies a bonus to the modifier of the selected type". This makes me think it is adding something to the proficiency bonus rather than adding the PB number to something else. That said, let me give it a shot!
Hey I know this thread is old but for anyone looking into this. I had a player that's a warforged and was trying this out. The above comment is very very close. It's not unarmored but armored armor class. I have my homebrew item added as an example. The armor they choose didn't have stealth disadvantage so I added advantage to cancel out the disadvantage that it forced on the item.

That is incorrect.
Modifier: Bonus->Subtype: Unarmored Armor Class->Additional Bonus Type: Proficiency Bonus

Edit:
100% can confirm this works. Thanks!
As usual, happy to help.

I also added in an extra intergrated protection +1 because I spoil my players lol
