So I'm working on a Triton variant and I'm trying to make a bonus that scales with level, however, I can't figure out how to add that level restriction to the bonus and so the scaling bonus ends up stacking all at level 1. Been working at it for 4 hours now and can't figure it out.
You could add options with different values that unlock at different character levels.
That won’t work for Races, only Subclasses.
I'm referring the the same method that the Simic Hybrid Animal Enhancement trait uses that allows you to pick two options, one at 1st and another at 5th level with extra options unlocked to pick from. Unlike subclass options, you would have have to go to character race and choose a new option with the higher value when you reach the necessary level. It's not quite as streamline as it would be for a subclass options, but it would still accomplish the same effect.

Oh, well if you intend to have them actively select then it’ll work. (I thought you meant as “Granted Options,” those don’t work at higher levels.)

Yeah, I figured this out the hard way trying the "Granted Options" route on a couple of my own homebrew races before. Unfortunately this has not been implimented yet, but hopefully they incorperate it soon.

Any advice?
~Haha woops.
If its fixed value as off now you can't scale it and have to adjust it manually.
Alright. That's what I figured, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I doubt it, WotC hasn’t published anything that works like that.
