I'm working on a (private) background homebrew and I've mostly just been learning how to use the homebrew tool on my own.
I've run into an issue where I cannot get an instructional text (associated data type) to show for my "other tools" category that says you can choose from any of the tools listed as "other" (thieves tool, disguise kit, etc.), custom (associated data type) doesn't show or it will only appear for one of the two that I have. I have one equipment set up to give clothes, gold, and a personal input custom item that is listed as Divine/Celestial token (Lets call this Set A). I have another one set up for having artisan tools or a musical instrument or a gaming set or an "other tools" such as the Disguise Kit, Forgery Kit, Herbalism Kit, Navigator's Tools, Poisoner's Kit, Thieves' Tool (Lets call this Set B)
The values I have in the other tools are an instructional text (associated data type) and a custom value - other tool kits.
For whatever reason, the instructional text doesn't show if "other tools" is selected and the custom value will either be the custom item that is listed as divine/celestial token or it will be other tool kits. But for some reason, it will never list both under personal possessions despite you being able to select Set A and any of the Set B options. I have no idea what to do to try to fix it and if it is a bug or something that I am doing wrong using the homebrew equipment tool. All the tutorials I've found for it only talk about how to homebrew but not going in-depth or over on how to use this tool specifically.
Gaming sets and musical instruments are also classified as “other tools.” You don’t need to do anything that complicated, just give them a choice of any 1 tool and it will automatically do what you want it to do.
