Hey Sposta, my friend, I'm sure you've already covered this somewhere in the guide and I'm just having tunnel vision again, missing it somehow, but a question.
I know how to link spells in an item's description, so that hovering over it shows a preview of the spell. But how do I choose which version it links to? Right now just doing "spell" and "/spell" in the brackets, it auto links to the older, 2014 versions of the spells. What if the spell has the same name in the 2024 version, and I'm trying to link to that?
The thread 'How To Add Tooltips' pinned to this forum has the full details about tooltips, including how to determine which ruleset to use.
I don't know if this has been answered, but when making a subclass, how do you connect one subclass feature to another? What I mean by this is that in my current cleric hb subclass, i have a level 1 ability that adds movement speed when activated, later in the subclass, lvl 17, the ability adds onto the lvl 1 ability to add wisdom modifier to AC. is there a way to do this?

Just make a feature that adds the bonus, same as any other way.
Or I'm not understanding what you mean.

What I am trying to attempt is when I make my level 17 ability from the subclass, that ability creates a new feature for the level 1 ability. Adding the bonus makes sense, but connecting one subclass feature to the other is what I am trying to do.

Is the 1st level ability an "option" or something, because if not, there's no reason for "connection" it's just a new thing you can do, so it's just a new feature to make.
The only times things are connected is if the player selects an option and then later get a feature based on that original selection or if the later feature is an improvement of what the first one does (like increasing darkvision from 60 ft to 120 ft).

For simplicity, here is the direct wording I have for the level 1 and level 17 features respectively:
Time Rush 1st Level Time Feature
At level 1, you can exude an aura of speed, accelerating the time around you. As an action, magic flows out of your holy symbol towards yourself and another creature of your choice.
While under the effects of Time Rush, creatures gain an additional 10 feet in movement speed and are unaffected by difficult terrain.
This effect lasts for 1 minute.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Temporal Master 17th Level Time Feature
At 17th level, you have mastered the flow of time and can shift it to your benefit.
While under the effects of Time Rush, you receive an increase to your AC equal to your Wisdom Modifier.
The two issues is that everything I try to do --- after looking at the initial FAQ --- with Time Rush, I can't make the effects temporary, every time i try to do so, it is implemented immediately without a way to turn the effect off. Then there is the additional effect introduced in Temporal Master. I have no clue as to what I can do in order to add these kinds of effects

For temporary effects see Homebrew Subclasses & Races Species FAQ >>> 2. How do I create a temporary/activated effect that only applies to the character sheet when turned on, and only until turned off again?
As for making a 17th level feature to add extra stuff to it - no, that cannot be done. You could create a new temp effect but this means the player has to enable both.
If this is just for a player in your campaign and not something you want to be shared to public, than it would be much easier to create a magic item that adds the walking speed and then a copy of that item which also adds the AC bonus - the player can then add the first item and equip it when the feature is active and dequip it when it's not. When the player gets to the 17th level they can remove that item and add the second item to use instead. This will be easier to set up for you (your feature only needs to set up the limited use action) and easier for the player to use too.

When I attempt to add the 2024 Shield spell as a prepared spell for a Wizard subclass I'm working on, I get the "This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass." error.
However, the 2014 version of Shield appears to be fine - any ideas why this might be the case? I'm pretty sure both spells are in the free rules.
Question! So I have a Subclass I’m making that has Bonus Action ability that creates a 15 foot radius sphere. At level 7 it gets upgraded (just the text changes) and at level 15 the radius goes from 15 feet to 30 feet. How can I make the ability change on the character sheet as I level up? I want to show it under Bonus Actions, and have the current way it works in that bonus action feature. It looks fine everywhere but the actual character sheet.
I don't believe the area of an action is something that can be adjusted using the Level Overrides option as opposed to, say, the damage dice it uses. Perhaps you could try providing an additional Bonus Action at level 15 with an increased radius?
What I’m more interested in is on the character sheet when you get the upgraded version of the feature, I want the old description to be replaced by the new description. I want to be able to go to my bonus action abilities and it have the current version of how the feature works. Does that make sense? Level override doesn’t have a description change.
If you're looking to just change the text description, that's easy enough: just add the desired radius number in the Level Scaling section of the subclass feature. You can then use {{scalevalue}} in your action's Snippet section to show the current radius of the ability.
I need help with creature stat blocks. Before it was a simple matter of copy and pasting a prexesiting statblock and editing it to your liking. However, stat blocks don't appear nicely at all anymore and I want to know how to make a creature stat block resemble the 2024 style in a hombrew subclass description like the 2024 Beast Master Ranger.
sorry if im dumb, but how i snippet the 2024 spells? cause when i do it in my HB it always brings the 2014 versions 😅
You mean tooltips not snippets. (Tooltip: hover over something to open a popup with info about it , Snippet: a code that is replaced by character sheet variables).

Hey there again folks! I got a question for you. I'm trying to build this spell and I can't seem to get it to work. My biggest issue right now is that it won't appear as a usable spell even though I have homebrew turned on in the character settings. The other thing is that I want to do the spell scaling right on this but I'm not sure how to get that done. This is the spell by the way:
DIVIDE BY ZERO 2nd level enchantment Casting Time: 1 reaction Range: Sight Components: V, S Duration: Instantaneous Using your skills with spell theory you can disrupt the flow of a spell being cast. When target opponent casts a spell targeting you or an ally within 30 feet. Roll a D10. If you roll below the level of the spell being cast. Counter target spell, for the sake of this spell 10 counts as a 0 and an automatic counter. At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot higher than 2nd roll an additional D10. If one of these would counter the spell, counter target spell.
Pretty cool spell (in my opinion) but I want it to be able to roll the d10s correctly when rolled at higher levels as well as the first but if that's not possible I'd be okay with it just being visible for players to use.
Hey I'm wondering if for subclass re-creation(I'm coping down bladesinger for my own use) and future creations how to you add a limit to how many times you use something that is tied to your proficiency bonus and also grows as it grows? I've been trying to figure this out for around a week and haven't found anything that works. Just reply when you can some else's suggestions would also be nice (if you know).
