I am struggling with creating a weapon which is supposed to grant an extra attack as a Bonus action (similar to double-bladed scimitar). Since I want it to have different hit dice, I cannot use a double-bladed scimitar as a base weapon.
Is there any way to achieve this in the homebrew?
And follow up question - can anything like Revenant blade feature be achieved in the homebrew? Meaning adding a property/some bonuses to a player when specific weapon is equipped? Or do I need to create another version of the weapon granting the bonuses and using this one when the feature is active?

No, it is not currently possible to add an Action to a homebrewed magic item. You would have to add it as plain text.

No, even the Revenant Blade feat itself was accomplished by creating a special version of the double bladed scimitar.
