So im making a monster hunter homebrew subclass for my campaign, and am trying to add a proficiency bonus of +2 to all martial weapon hits. I put proficiency and then martial weapons in the boxes of modifier in class feature, then i add the fixed number of 2 (this is to add to the 'to hit' section of a weapon) and it just doesnt work. Im super dumb sometimes when it comes to this stuff and i am quite frankly stumped on what to do could so one please help
What you want to do is not mechanically possible in the system. You will have to list it as plain text and the player will have to customize their attacks directly on their character sheet.
PS- “Proficiency” just means the ability to use a weapon without disadvantage. What you want is an “Attack Bonus.”
Oh i see, yeah i mean i was just messing around and seeing if i could set my characters fixed strength score to nineteen and it didnt work. So i guess i will go look through how the fixed number system works
Wait i have another question. So i picked bonus melee weapon attack then set the fixed value to 2 and nothing appears on my dnd beyond sheet, idk if this is like data cache just being slow or smth else if not what have i done wrong

You can easily set a Strength score to 19, just use the following Modifier:

Modifier: Set->Subtype: Strength Score->Fixed Value: 19
After you add a Modifier to any homebrew you must re-save the whole thing and it can take time to push. Please see the General Homebrew FAQ #6 for more information: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq).
