So, in our campaign world my artificer is one of the first to create basically a firearm and so the stats work a bit differently than anything previously released and I'm having a hard time creating it in D&D Beyond. I'm also a Battle Smith so INT is used as the modifier.
It's versatile (one or two handed changing the damage from 1d6 to 1d10), range 60/120, is currently a +1 weapon (ATK & DMG), has the misfire mechanic, and does not need the loading property.
From what I can tell if I create the item, I'm forced to choose something like the "Pistol" which will get the range, versatile, and loading parts wrong. Alternatively, if I create a custom attack, I can't find a way to add the +1 to ATK and DMG.
I've tried to problem solve this one myself before posting but if anyone could lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated!
That’s not a bad idea, might have to just manage it that way. Thanks for the input! I figured it was impossible to make but I’m also pretty new to D&D Beyond.

What you want to create is impossible. It is not possible to change a weapon’s base damage dice or range. In addition the versatile property will always turn a d6 into a d8 when used with two hands, that’s just how it’s programmed. I think your best bet might be to cheese it by creating a pair of cantrips for the versatile feature and just track all the other stuff manually.
