Tried creating a wonderous item that I can equip/unequip when I do ranged attacks. I've tried for about 2 hours to simply create an item that is -5 to attack bonus, +10 to damage. No luck!
I've done this before, but for some reason I am having difficulty with this.
Why can't I just apply feats to my attacks automatically? Why do we have to jump through magic item creation homebrew hoops?
Don't bother with magic items, just add a new nonmagical weapon to your inventory and then customize it to add 10 damage and subtract 5 to hit. You can't really do that kind of thing with magic items.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

This is what I do as well, for both Sharpshooter and Great Weapon Master. I've even done it on a barbarian character to get the added Rage damage in the calculation.

Because the -5+10 changes aren't automatic. You choose to apply those prior to the attack. You can choose not to apply those depending on circumstances.
Glad you were able to figure it out. Customizing a duplicate weapon is the way to go. Don't forget to set the weight to 0 since the copy is simply an easy way to get the correct To Hit and Damage buttons on your sheet.
I've found that I can easily apply Sharpshooter in Roll20 but haven't figured out how do do what has been suggested above in Beyond. Any tutorials in YouTube?

Thanks! I ended up doing just this. Cheers!
