The way you worded that is not good. Please allow me to reword it for you, you’ll find it in the spoiler below.
Text based commands and Modifiers have absolutely nothing to do with each other whatsoever. The snippets (text codes) just display dynamic information on the character sheet like automatically updating a number whenever you ability modifier or PB increases. That is all.
There is no currently existing set of Modifiers to do what you want. The system has no way of actually applying bonuses selectively like that. You will need to write it in text, include the correct snippet to make the players’ job easier, and add an Action to account for part of your feature. The players will have to add the correct bonus to their attacks for themselves through customization directly on their character sheets.
Description-
Intelligent Fighting
Xth-level Whatever feature
When unarmed, or using improvised or finesse weapons you can naturally exploit weaknesses in your opponents’ defenses.
You can use your Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls of your Unarmed Strikes and attacks you make with improvised weapons instead of your Strength modifier as normal.
In addition, you add your Intelligence modifier to weapon attack rolls you make with Dexterity.
Snippet-
You can use DEX for your unarmed strikes and improvised weapons, and you add {{modifier:int}} to your DEX based weapon attack rolls.
Other-
You will need to add an Action to your subclass feature to represent an unarmed strike made with Dex.
I am trying to create a fighter subclass, that fights similar to Sherlock Holmes in the Robert Downy Jr. Jude Law film.
I have worded the primary ability for the class as such.
I do not have a list of usable text based commands to make this work in the modifiers section and would like some help please.
Intelligent Fighting.
When using unarmed, improvised weapon or finesse weapon attacks you can naturally exploit weaknesses in your opponents defense.
You may add your intelligence with your dexterity modifier to your attack rolls, when not using your strength modifier.
Your unarmed attacks use your dexterity modifier plus your intelligence modifier instead of your strength modifier on attack rolls.
no help then. Ok.
