I'm thinking to bring hoopaks into my campaign, but when I try to homebrew one I get the option of "hoopak" and "hoopak (ranged)". When I make my homebrews of these they are staunchly divided as either melee or ranged weapons. Maybe in Dragonlance modules this gets sorted out, but is there no way to make just one "hoopak" that my players can equip and have both options appear on their attack tab?

Even the official versions for Dragonlance are done that way. There is no way to make them as a single weapon on DDB.

Seems weird they can't do the thing they do with versatile weapons that have both damage value sets in one entry.
