i would like to be able to set fixed amounts at a negative number. such as slow has a fixed number for AC at a -2 but you cant change that because it has to be 1 or greater when you go to set the number or try to change it
Base HP modification. 1st level characters are just too squishy, and prone to dying in single hits in 5th edition, so I grant everyone 5 bonus HP, but I can’t seem to implement that in Beyond.

If you switch their character sheets to manual instead of fixed HP you can then enter their HP at whatever total you want. Even if you're in fixed, you can edit the character sheet and override the HP total on the class page of the editor which will then set the HP to what you want it to be. If you use manual or the override on fixed, you'll have to remember to add in the CON bonus at level up in addition to the rolled HP. But you are able to do this on the current character sheets.
Very specific, I know, but I'd like to see the ability to set multiple sizings for a single race, as in different subraces could be sized differently. I.E. A cat race where the larger subrace, let's call 'em big cats, were medium and the smaller subrace (wildcats) would be small. Could work with a mechanical race, too.
I would like to be able to tag a skill as having advantage or disadvantage, in addition to the existing modifiers. Before I moved my campaign and all the players over to DnD Beyond, I made a deal with one of the characters (a Librarian/Wizard) to allow them to be specialized in History in exchange for having disadvantage on all Perception checks. And while I can do the former, there's no way to do the latter other than to add a note to the character in the notes section.

You can add custom languages to to a character sheet by going to proficiencies and languages and clicking the gear. You can't add them to a homebrew race (yet), probably because DDB is debating having a database for homebrew languages and how that should work (it is easiest to just not, and have players just add them as needed to characters).
Thanks, but I want to be able to create the languages for the players to select in the campaign
+1 to this. My players aren't savvy computer wise. During character creation it is not at all intuitive to not select a language so you can override one later.
The simplest solution, imo, is to add a languages table to a campaign record. The DM can add the custom available languages in the campaign which could then be selected by the players. The selection list would be a concatenate of the standard list + the custom campaign list.

It does.. To those creatures that have natural attacks. The 'natural attacks' that PCs can do is an 'unarmed strike' unless a race specific like Tabaxi or Aarakocra.. which the character sheet does show too
I don't know a way to do this in D&D Beyond but homebrew Artificer Infusions would be cool.
I came here to specifically mention this. As a new class, it would be nice to supplement the lack of available Artificer Infusions (as of right now until more content can be written) with homebrew stuff.
It would be cool if in the "Bonus" Modifier there was the ability to select which ability scores you can choose a bonus for. As it is, the Modifier Sub-type drop-down list does have many options for choosing ability scores or a specific subset of ability scores, but I would like to see the option to make your own subset. For example, I've made a few Homebrew feats intended for magic users that give you +1 to an ability score and also do a Thing; I want to be able to make the user of these feats pick Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma, so that it works for any class's spellcasting ability, but that is not an existing subset, so I am forced to pick something like "Choose Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma" and just tell my players to ignore the Dexterity option.
Also under "Bonus", it would be nice if there was an option to increase the amount of sorcery points a player has. The default setting for them (and ki points) is "you have x where x is your class level"; while there is also some coding magic happening regarding the minimum level pre-requisite, I don't think it would be too difficult to add the ability to make your sorcery points "x+2" (x still being class level), or "x+y where y is a user-input variable" or whatever. (I do admittedly have only very limited experience in coding, so I could be wrong about the difficulty of this, but I think my overall point is still valid even if I am.)
I'm not 100% sure this is the correct place to mention this, but the "Melee Weapon Attack" Modifier doesn't actually work; my justification for this point being mentioned in this forum is that I believe there is a respectable number of users (myself included) who would like a *functional* Melee Weapon Attack as an additional modifier in Homebrew (I just checked, and Ranged Weapon Attack doesn't work either).
"Replace Damage Type" is a cool Modifier, and a similar one that I would like to see is "Replace Damage Die". For example, I tried to make a Homebrew magic item called Shadow Blade in order to mimic the spell of the same name (the spell creates a weapon, so I wanted a weapon in my equipment list that actually reflected the properties of the created weapon - especially since it is STR/DEX based rather than being based off your spellcasting modifier). I was mostly successful (made it run off of DEX and display as psychic damage), but no matter what solution I try, I can't get the damage die to display as anything other than 1d4. The Shadow Blade spell creates a weapon that does 2d8, so it would be cool to make that happen.
I've come across a number of neat magic item Homebrews (and even made a few of my own) that state that they "grant proficiency in a skill, or expertise if you already have proficiency". There should be a Modifier that accomplishes this. My attempts achieve this end have invariably lead to the item just granting expertise, as the item will grant proficiency and then think to itself "Oh hey, you have proficiency! Guess that means I give you expertise now".
I've seen a few cool ideas that give a player access to the Maneuvers & Superiority Die available to the Fighter subclass Battlemaster. I would like to see a Modifier - perhaps "Choice" or something similar - that allows users to accomplish something like this, granting a choice of a Battlemaster Maneuver, or an additional choice of Metamagic if the character is a Sorcerer, or an additional Invocation if the player is a Warlock... basically anything where the player gets a choice of x things and gets more choices at later levels. I am uncertain about how difficult it would be to implement something that has a class restriction like that, but even if you had to ignore the pre-requisite and just use the honor system, I believe that this Modifier would improve DDB's Homebrew experience.
If you made it through this wall of text, thank you for your patience :)
Improve how scrolls aren’t handled. I can’t figure out how to add more then 1 scroll to inventory with 1 spell on it. I can increase the quantity but that’s it. I’d like to see 1) scrolls with multiple spells on them and 2) multiple scrolls allowed in inventory.
Will there ever be an update? Some of the suggestions in this thread are very very old and haven’t been implemented. Specifically, I’ve been requesting the ability to create items that grant spell slots for about 2 years!

While I agree that scrolls need to be improved I just customize the name -- with all of the scroll spells that I have.. 1st level scroll of shield/chaos bolt/healing touch... This should at least keep them tracked
Please add the ability to add in distances for magical weapons with the thrown property. It currently says 5ft/5ft and being able to change this would be useful.
Ability to change the damage dice of a weapon. The UA Spear Mastery feat changes the spear melee damage from 1d6/1d8 to 1d8/1d10. It would nice to have that reflected in the character sheet.
Adding or subtracting the amount of spells a player can know; for example the sorcerer at level 20 can know 15 spells, with an item that adds 15 known spells the total would become 30; or an item could subtract 10 known spells.

I would like to bind "modifiers" to an feat option. Right now I can only bind "actions" to options.
Additional Modifiers:
- Expertise (Choose Skill) without requiring proficiency (I thought 'Twice Proficiency' would be it, but you cannot add a choice)
- When using something like 'choose skill/language/etc.' I would like to restrict the options (choose 1 skill/language from ...)
- Add a spell to known spells
- Add a spell to prepared spells
- Add a spell to spell list (so you can prepare it or 'learn' it)
Choose a(n) [ability] skill, for grouping proficiency choices
The Replace/remove feature/trait modifier. I wanna make a homebrew that would replace or remove a feat/trait on my character if it has it.
