Could be... I guess? I'm not familiar with the filter. Have we already had contact with mods about the editing problem?
Dark made a thread about it and the mods saw it but couldn't edit it besides some specific technical stuff. So nevermind, the filter probably isn't the issue (I've had personal experience with it on a thread of my own being accidentally spam marked and it was different, mods could fix it and it was removed entirely instead of being unable to be edited. So I was a bit skeptical of my theory anyways).
Congratulations to Kaboom797 for winning with a perfect score of only 5s - and a total that equals the Number of the Beast. Maybe there were some warlock-y rituals involved? ;-)
Well thats spicy, lol. Congratulations everyone! I cant wait to get to work on the next one. I will also try to think of what can be done to help alleviate recent editing issues we have been having. I know there was talk of adding some Discord functionality, but those logistics may not be fleshed out by the next competition.

While we finalize the details for the next competition, I wanted to propose a small change and see what thoughts were on it
Idea: Relfavor/Rebrand "Interactive Options" as "Quest Options"
Current:Interactive Options: Things that affect how characters interact with the world, exploring both its social structure and environment - such as NPCs, puzzles, stories/lore, terrain, traps/hazards or even institutions like shops or taverns.
Proposed:Quest Options: Things that drive the characters' exploration and interaction with the world, prompting them to explore its social structure, environment, and underlying lore - such as NPCs, groups/guilds, puzzles, terrain, traps/hazards, or even institutions like shops or taverns. A "quest item" could also be a valid entry, which for the purpose of this category could be any type of mundane or magical item which is strongly defined by how it is used towards completing the quest associate with it.
I feel that "Quest" is a more engaging and RPG term, helping to inspire contestants to imagine the party running into these items/people as a part of completing a quest line
Added "groups/guilds" as these are already popular entry types for this category
Removed "stories/lore." Ideally all of the entires will have some story or lore associated with it, and I feel that trying to grade lore alone becomes difficult for the Balance/Playability criteria, skewing the results to probably be more average across the board.
Added "Quest Items" as another optional entry type, which would allow for more contestants to submit equipment/magic item ideas with the caveat that the entry must provide context for how the item would be used as part of an overarching quest

Sounds good to me! I do think that quest items would often be confused for magic items in the DM category. Like, if you don't like the DM theme, then you'll just use the quest option instead, and come up with some suboptimal lore for it. Maybe remove that option for quest options.

Yeah, I agree. Right now I feel like the Interactive Option category gets less interaction (ironically) than DM or PC Options, so I am trying to come up with more suggested entry types. Everyone loves designing spells, magic items, subclasses, and monsters, but things like puzzles, traps, and (non combat focused) NPCs seem to be less inspiring for some reason.
