So I want to make a feat that gives the player the ability to pick between one of multiple boons (think of stuff like gaining flying speed, darkvision, or some other type of ability that triggers on an action). So far when I pick "options" I can only make stuff that gets displayed as an action, nothing allowing to give proficiencies or similar.
Tried to see how feats like martial adept ar resilient are done on the page, made a copy and tried to edit them, but in both cases there seems to be no option available, yet for the first one when seen on a character all the maneuvers are options, the same for resilient where on a character one can scroll multiple options and choose one, while editing the feat doesn't show anything like that.
The Martial Adept feat was set up incomplete and fixed outside of the regular modifiers screens in the back end. I think the reason they has to fix it that way was to be dynamic enough to consider if you had picked other maneuvers through the Battle Master subclass or the Superior Fighting fighting style. Similar to why using that fighting style didn't used give you options either (not sure if that has been fixed yet). By leaving it incomplete, a player can't take the same maneuver more than once. The devs were erring on the side of don't let the players to figuratively "break the game" the game instead of letting the players figure out on their own. They evidently fixed the issue but not through the same tool we all have access to for homebrew. Iirc feats like Fey Touched and Shadow Touched can't be replicated because of similar reasons: They have not updated the feats to have options do more than provide actions.
I see... Shame we don't have access to the same tools for homebrew stuff. In the end had to make something similar to what was made for the strike of the giants feat, where there was a different version of the feat for each of the options.
