So I'm trying to revamp the previous UA Giant Soul subclass , I liked the concept but the execution was a little lacking, but I'm still new to using the subclass creator tool on DnD Beyond so I'm having a little trouble figuring out the logistics of some things.
One of the class abilities allows you to spend sorcery points to enlarge yourself, gaining all the same bonuses as the enlarge spell plus some extra specific to the class, such as a temporary bonus to your speed , melee/spell damage, and maximum hp for the minute that it lasts. However the way I have it set up now, when you reach 6th level and gain this ability it automatically adds all of the bonuses to your sheet when it should only apply when the ability is active. Is there a way that I can set it up so that the bonuses won't show all the time and have to be activated? Or do I just have to remove the bonuses and have it as text only?
There is currently no way to "toggle" abiliies or add temporary effects.

The easiest workaround currently is to put those features into a “magic item” that the character can just attune/unattune. It’s a little jankey, but it will give you the “toggled ability” that you are looking for.

This is what I do for spells. I recommend making the item "Artifact" level so it's always at the top of the inventory for easier access.
I agree it can be janky, but still easier than pen and paper for me.

I hadn't thought about that, janky maybe but that's still really clever. Still sucks there's no built in way to toggle abilities yet, but it'll work in the meantime, thanks!!

They are doing a system overhaul, and toggleable features are supposedly in the works.
