I'm working on a homebrew monk sub-class, and I was wondering if there was a way that I have missed to give the ability to pick multiple options for an ability at a level.
For example, when you get to level six, you are given a list of 4 options for your ability, and you need to pick two of the four.
Right now, it will list out all 4 of them, but only give you the ability to pick one of the 4. I was wondering if there was a field that I missed somewhere that gives you the chance to pick the other one.
At the bottom of that particular subclass feature, It asks for
Required Class Level
Display Order
Has Options
Class Levels Where Options Know
“Has Options” is a checkbox (that should be checked)
Class Levels Where Options Know. That last one is what you need. If they get two options at 6th-level, then you have to put “6,6” in that field. (If they get two options at 6th level, and another at 8th, you would put “6,6,8” in that field.)
i have a similar ask... how do you make a certain list of options only grant you one out of 5 choices? with no chance of seeing the other choices later down the line?

You make the five Options the same way, then if you want them to have one choice at, say, 3rd-level you just put “3” in that field. They make their choice at 3rd level and it never gives them another chance to pick an option.
I know this is an old thread, but I seem to be having trouble with the options as well, when I type 3,3 to give two choices at 3rd level, it still only gives one?

know of any fixes?
Try re-saving the entire homebrew using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information. It could be the change wasn’t picked up. It could take up to 20 minutes to push through.
This was all helpfull but is there a way to give a number of choices based on a modifyer? Like pick a number of choices equal to your constitution modifyer.

Yo, so I see that this is an old question... But how do I get options other than College of Lore or Thief for subclasses? Because I want to make another Rogue/Bard multiclass with the subclasses College of Whispers and Assassin, but I can't get those options on the menu. Help? Those two aforementioned subclasses are kind of the only options on the menu.

This has nothing to do with class feature Options. You want more Subclasses you have to purchase access to them by either buying the subclasses or the books.
I am making a subclass were you get options and when you pick one of the options you get to choose some profiencies but there is no way of making options in an option.
How do I make it where multiple options can be selected at one time? (Example I want the player to be able to select 2 options of 10 at level 3, 3 options at level 7, 4 options at level 11.)

You would have to make each proficiency it’s own Option.

In the “levels where options known” field you would enter “3,3,7,7,7,11,11,11,11” jus like that. You can read all about how to properly set up Options in the Subclasses & Species FAQ #1: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq).
